Re: Removing large LCD panels
2 suction cups and put to the side of chassis - my bench is long enough for that. Before cups I had large piece if cardboard, Id lift a corner and slide the cardboard in.

Re: Samsung UE49MU7470U LED backlight issue causing shadow?
Your going to find the diffuser is marked cos if your strip has been working with a faulty LED, the others will have been running hotter than normal. If you have enough room to store the dismantled set, Id get the suction cups and dismantle before buying strips so you can check diffuser. If you dont want to buy cups, try siding a large piece of cardboard below screen and lift it that way. Luckily I have a seller 20mls away and I can run up and get the strips for a quick turnaround. Check CGTV on ebay.

Re: Samsung UE40F5300AK blinking red light
I replaced all leds in a samsung recently but noticed what looked like one that was out giving a black smudge. Lasted for 2 weeks then set went off with blinking led. Turned out half a row was faulty though I couldnt use old leds as they were blue. Replaced faulty led, looked like it had finally went s/c, and set now works. So flashing led is probably faulty backlights.

Re: Lg49uh620v
.Change leds. 100% faulty. Youll have a whole strip out but unless you dismantle and check them you wont know

Re: Bush dled40fhds no backlight
Common problem is the panel connection to the led strips as other poster said. Check for continuity between connections though it helps to have power supply to confirm leds are okay. Still involves stripping it down.

Re: Samsung UA50KU6000 50" Smart TV
There a firms on Ebay who will repair the board for your fault. I think they replace one of the large ICs at 2 and 5 oclock of your arrow

Re: Samsung UA50KU6000 50" Smart TV
If you disconnect the lead between the 2 boards the set and backlights should come on. This means power board and screen is okay and your fault is on the main board.

Re: LG 42LF561v picture dimming
LGs have notoriously bad LED strips. Dismantle set and check strips preferably with power supply or youll have to turn it on without screen and screen panels to see what strips are out. Also if picture is blue, thats also LED problems. But your gonna have to strip it down.

Re: LG 43UK6300 - Audio & Backlight, but no Video
Disconnect one of the screen cables and see what happens. Iv just scrapped a slightly older LG although it had a Tcon board. Symptom was no video but backlights and sound ok. When I removed one cable, picture came on half the screen.

Re: Samsung UN60D6000 LED Backlight flashing
Wow what an informative video. From post 1 I had decided the side LED strips were faulty. Not easy to repair but if your confident to remove screen without breaking it, you will be able to replace complete strips..if you can get them.

Re: Panasonic TX-48CX400B low LED volts
This seems to be a common problem with no solution. Ive got the same problem and I checked all leds and theyre fine. Just have to wait till I get a working set in so I can swap boards.

Re: Panasonic TX-L42B6B – LED Single Blink
We now have side lit sets. As manufacturers should have realised by now, LEDs fail regularly. IF they wanted us to repair these sets, it would have been an easy matter to incorporate a removeable panel to get to the side leds without removing the screen. I havent seen a set with this feature but Ive seen plenty of these sets in landfill.
