polarbehr, Ive seen this happen when there is a bad TCON board, with the tv on unplug the tcon main connector and plug it back in, see if the picture looks "clear" for a second and then it should return to the way it looks in the picture. If thats the case its the TCON

So has there been no solution to this DPS-168EP board? I have looked on ebay, amazon, shopjimmy and a few other places to find a replacement board but it doesnt seem there any available. Nor can I find schematics on it. Ive only followed what on Ive read on here, I didnt believe the applying heat to it would work but it did. What is the solution to this? Perhaps a lower uf capacitor at the same voltage rating? Perhaps since were heating up the areas right next to those diodes its the diodes that is the problem.

I got my tv on using a hair dryer, the picture and color looks off, almost like a issue with the TCON, the picture on part of the left look great but from there over its not so good.

Ill be checking into the capacitor/diode theory but first I want to see if I can clean up this picture by messing with the TCON. Unfortunately so much has to come off to get to it because its located underneath everything.

But any info is helpful thanks on the picture and the startup issue. I have replaced the 450v 150qf capacitor also by the way, did that from the get go.

I also took the tv apart all the way to the panel do you believe this picture problem could be something with the boards and ribbon cables at the top of tv? The image is ghosting from mid point to the right. Attached a picture.
