Samwha Caps - help clarifying some markings please

Got a plasma TV (its an "optima" - a re-badged LG) that has a problem with it's horizontal driver - All the picture seems to be condensed into a 4" band down the centre of the screen.

Looking at the boards inside it, I see several bulged top Samwha's. Time to replace them.

But I have a query. Some of these caps have the letters HE on them, some have HK, one has CE. Is it located down near the temperature. ie "105 C HK". This could be some sort of country/manufacturing code, or it could be important (tolerance/leakage characteristics/type)

Can someone clarify for me please. (I have searched).

    Much thanks in advance...

    that's (usually) the series marking.

    datasheets:

    Samwha HE

    Samwha HK
    http://www.samwha.com/electric/templ...st_pdf2/HK.pdf

couldn't find CE.. seems like this is not the series marking..

      @ Senic.

THANKS HEAPS - I have spent ages trying to track this down. Let me guess - you found it in about 10 seconds...

One more question if I may. Which company can supply some similar units?

I spent several hours this afternoon trying to locate (via RS Australia) replacement units - I can do 105 deg C, but not 35 mm diameter, or all the physical dimensions line-up but the temp is only 85, or specs mostly match but they are 50mm high (only room for 35mm height).

Heck I'd even use samwha again if only I could find a supplier who could sell me some.....

      Any recommendations?

i've searched for samwha cap datasheets before.. so i knew where to look

the only other source for caps (as per this thread) would be Farnell AU
but yeah.. custom cap sizes/specs kinda suck

oh yeah.. it would help if you specified the values and sizes of the original c(r)apacitors..
Samwha is replace-on-sight in my book..

edit: just noticed.. farnell sells samwha c(r)aps

Is there a way of editing your previous posts? I hit submit and _then_ realised I should have included the sizes...

1000 uF 250 wv HE series
330 uF 450 wv HE series
680 uF 250 wv HK series.

These are the 'bulgy' ones, I wasn't planning on replacing all the small units (I know I should) - just way too many...

Basically get it fixed so I can get it back to my folks...

That failure doesn't make any sense. I can understand a CRT TV having a narrow horizontal sweep, but plasma TVs don't work that way.

Agreed, the first step is to replace the bulging caps.
