    Vestel 17MB120 panel change

    Hi everyone,

Firstly please forgive me, I've scoured these forums for a answer prior to posting so apologies if this has been answered already,

So I'm having a issue with changing the panel on a vestel 17mb120 board, I want to put a board from a 49inch jvc tv into a 50 inch polaroid tv. The JVC board has live tv recording feature and 2 extra hdmi ports hence why I want to upgrade.

So the steps I've taken so far..

    1. downloaded the pq files from the polaroid board

    2. Swapped out the polaroid board for the jvc board in the tv

    3. Using a comletely blank USB created a folder called "pq" and placed only the "VESTEL_D1_Plus_PNL.bin" file in the folder, done the USB operations in service menu

    4. Turned off the tv off and on again

The screen is still displayed incorrectly and now in the service menu the panel now displays as "File Not Found" whereas prior it would say something like 49_JVC_UHD

What exactly am I doing wrong?

After copying the profile to the TV, exit the menu and turn off the TV from the remote control. After the stby LED stops flashing, unplug the TV. Wait for the stby LED to completely go out. Plug in and turn on the TV.
Put the 2 files in the pq folder (PNL + TMG).

3 turn on tv plug in usb with both PNL and TMG files on

        4. Press OK on the remote control and wait 5 seconds.
        5. Exit the menu and turn off the TV on the remote control
        6. Wait until the stby LED stops flashing and unplug the TV
        7. Wait until the stby LED goes out and remove the stick.

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
              by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
              by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...
