Bush dled40fhds no backlight

hello all,could some please offer some advice,on the above tv,when switched on there is image on screen (with torch shining at an angle at the screen),but no backlight,i ave checked voltage at the led pins on the power supply as the set is switched on,it starts around 48v then slowly drops to zero,the power supply is a vestel ips12.

if i remember rightly these sets have 3 led strips in the panel and can sometimes fail on the connecting joints have you got a led tester and have you ever stripped a lcd panel down to the leds

thanks for your reply,yes i have stripped down a tv to replace the leds before,but vowed never to bother again,what a pain.lol
Im afraid i dont have an led tester.

Common problem is the panel connection to the led strips as other poster said. Check for continuity between connections though it helps to have power supply to confirm leds are okay. Still involves stripping it down.

if your thinking of doing more tv repairs its certainly worth getting a led tester try to get one with voltage and mah display as they are the better type

quick update ,,all back together fixed and working now,i reluctantly stripped it down lol,luckily as 2 other members suggested itwas indeed just one of the connectors to one of the strips of leds not making contact just put a tiny amount of solder on the pcb contacts,and all leds working again.
