Samsung UN46B7000 LED TV, no picture.

Hey guys, I have a Samsung UN46B7000 LED Tv. Powers on, audio works but no image. I can see the backlighting on the display but no image comes on. I narrow it down to the T Con board (BN81-02358A). But I just want some advice from you guys before I order the part. And possibly troubleshoot the board itself.

I'm interested in the unusually long and narrow black electrolytics flat against the board. The manufacturer appears to be Rubycon, but what are the series of these units? Never before have I seen units which are unusually long and narrow.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

I was looking at those also. There are a number of innovations on this set to make it ultra thin. Stupid, in my opinion. But the marketing department has to have something to brag about and justify the high premium for LED backlit TVs.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

The T-Con board is the cheaper of the two on Ebay at $30. However, If you find that it isnt working after that one, the other (pd4612f1) is about $69. I'd be inclined to simply buy both for $100, and then use them to help me find the defective component on the other set. Then sell them on Ebay. Hopefully, you dont get some defective boards from an ebay seller that had the same exact problem.

Where did you find it for $30? The cheapest I found was like $80.

There's another thread on the forum somewhere about a Samsung with this ultra-flat design actually...

Sorry, earlier I had said that you could get the UN46B7000 t-con board for 30 something but that was the UN46B6000 T-con board. A whole different design than the one you need.

If they are bulging, they need to be changed. However we dont know if thats the only thing that needs changed/tested until you post a picture of the board in question. I hope you have an electronics part store nearby if this is needed soon.

You should start your own thread, you will get better help if you do because more people will see it.

Anyway, those 2 bulging capacitors have definitely failed. So you will need to replace them. I don't know if it will fix the problem, but they will certainly be causing some problem.

Probably better to start your own brand-new topic about your own TV and then reference this one than start posting in someone else's old thread where a lot of people won't see it.

                            - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                            - it keeps rebooting
                            - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                            - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                            Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

                            by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

                            Hello all,

This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...
