Offhanded question? Testing Tv Led Strips

I just have a quick question to ask and I feel like a jack stick for asking this but how do you use one of those led testers from amazon, ya know those $10 ones from amazon with the highest of precision of course. Anyways how the hell are you supposed to test any tv with local dimming HIGH technology tv? The ones that just have connector coming out are very simple but the ones with these stupid local dimming boards and I'm like where the hell do I probe with my china special led tester probes lol.

Opening the panel is done very quick and easy when it's not to big and you know what/how to do of course. You can also try testing through the connectors if you know which cables are for what.
I prefer to open the panels so that I can also observe that one or more LEDs burn brighter or less brightly, so that you can also determine whether an LED is defective.

Vizio E55-F1 dark backlight zones. LED failure or Dimming Zone Driver?
      by howardc64
      Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

      Model & Board Pics

      Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12

LED problem on samsung UE55F6475, 2 strips work. The rest is flashing every second.
      by Kingfreddie
      Ok.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.

This is kinda how it looked, just that mine were at the bottom of the screen:

I have a Samsung tv that has the LED strips on the side of the tv frame. There are 2 strips per side, each strip has a 4 wire plug. How do you or can you test these strips with a standard LED tester.

      Hie everyone.
I have an Ecco 32 inch led tv with backlights problem. It's using 2 led strips of 6 leds each. The connector from the power supply board is in the middle of the strip.Does this means they are one set of three is in parallel with the the other. I have 7.6 V on the power supply and on the connector it's labeled 18v.
Also how do I test each strip and individual led
I have attached a Pic of the led strip. The tv is Ecco Led TV, model no. LH32
      Please help...

Backlight strip quality, Amazon vs Ebay vs ShopJimmy. Is there really a difference?
      by DXseekerMO
      Hello everyone!

Recently I've noticed that some ShopJimmy backlight strips don't have double-sided tape installed upon them when an application calls for it, and I must purchase the tape separately. In a recent chat conversation with a customer service agent I told them if this tape wasn't applied when it was called for I would begin to consider ordering my backlight strips elsewhere. It looks like this time may have come.

I recently got a TCL 65S4 with bad backlights. After looking at the SJ listing here: https://www.shopjimmy.com/tcl-jl-d65...365as-m-led-ba...
