by acedogblastThis is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. Plug to AC, small blue power indicator light at center bottom illuminates. Only using flashlight test, Insignia emblem in center of screen for 90 seconds and then nothing. Power button pressed and still using flashlight screen test, the entire Roku, 4K menu is shown. Never does the back light show any light., even in dark room.

by Maxpower3every time I open the tool, I have the screen that appears
and I am always in a hurry to use it so I click and it automatically sends me a link to the manufacturer.
It annoys me lol.
2 solutions to remove it.
Either you remove pic.bmp and it no longer appears so no more links when clicking.
or else you can modify the exe to remove the .bmp
hope this helps users...01-15-2025, 03:24 PM - Loading...
