    Polaroid MSDV3233-U3 Backlights problem

Hi all, I have a 32 inch polaroid that I am trying to repair . The ORIGINAL problem was that 1 3v led had failed, I replaced the led using a 3v led from a scrap strip.

Anyway it started out as 1 led . After replacing the dud one I tested it before putting it back together, I noticed there was another led that wasn't powering up immediately like the rest so I changed that 1 too just to be safe. That's when it went fkn mental.... I tested it again but there was a full strip flickering, I changed most of them , to cut to the chase I've ended up replacing all of them, I don't have the correct LEDs so I've used what I had , the positive connections on the strips I'm repairing are thin & neg obviously the thicker side... I've used the vice versa type LEDs.. Anyway all 3 strips light up when testing individually, but when I plug them together only half of them are working when I put the tester probes straight to the leds , I don't get anything when probing the wires that supply the power...

There's no point in giving details of the board but the strips are "ks-d 94v-0 E465853" ....

Any help would be really appreciated..

Sounds like you have a continuity problem to your strips. You can trace it with your LED tester or your multimeter in resistance mode. Make sure when you test it from the connector it isn't plugged into the power supply.

LED problem on samsung UE55F6475, 2 strips work. The rest is flashing every second.
        by Kingfreddie
        Ok.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.

This is kinda how it looked, just that mine were at the bottom of the screen:

About replacing individual LEDS on BL strips
        by edugimeno
        Hi There!
Having fixed 5-6 TV sets by replacing full LED strips, and having watched other people fix that by replacing just one LED in the strip, my question now is what should I consider before doing so.

At this time I have some old strips removed from TV's with all but one LED working. Are there different voltage/current LED on different strips? Are 99% of them just the same and interchangeable?

How do you find which specific model is needed for each strip? When I check if a LED is OK by attaching the multimeter leads to the individual led pads on the strips I...

LG 50lb6100 flashing backlights unsusual fix!
        by rddube
        Hello everyone,

Thought I'd share this find for the repair of an LG tv which had started to turn on but would only get flashing backlights. Backlights would flash at a few second intervals, and when I opened it, noticed that only the 3 bottom rows were flashing, the 2 top rows were completely dead. Replaced a few burnt leds (tested with my led tester), put everything back together, tested all led strips and they were all good, but again the 3 bottom rows would go into this flashing cycle.

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
        by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
        1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
        2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
        3. Problem: TV shuts down
