    (1) 27.9V
    (2) 25.7V
    (3) 0V (ground)
    (4) 4.8V

D7130 diode measured left of diode - 1.6V right of diode - 3.2V

Thanks for helping. Are these voltages normal? I have a sinking feeling something is damaged causing me to burn up my regulators and I only have 2 left so I'm only turning on the set in short intervals to figure this out.

Before I take my next reading can you help me with my multimeter settings, is this the right spot to have it set on? (I'm a noob)

Looking at Shopjimmy's photos, I think the regulator gets it's supply from either D7130 or D7131 so I would also check those diodes

Can you check what the output current of the regulator is using your meter.

The data sheet indicates the maximum input voltage is 28V but the power dissipation is 1.5W without a heatsink and 15W with an adequate heatsink.

With 28V input to the regulator and 12V output then that's 16V dropped across the regulator and if the current flowing through it was 1 amp then the device would be dissapating 16W.

I would also check any capacitors across the output of the regulator.

Can you put the voltages against the pin names

Hi, long time browser - first time poster. I got my hands on a Sharp LC60C6400U and from what I could find on youtube similar models of this set have a 12V power regulator that fails called "KIA378R12PI". So I go ahead and order the part, install it and badda-bing my set worked right away. Only a problem - it failed after about 3 hours. So I re-attempted my solder joints and it was back in business, for a couple of days. Failed again with the same error code. I think to myself no worries I have 4 spares since I bought a 5 pack in case anything went wrong. But now after roasting the solder pads away I'm onto my 3rd regulator, the TV is powering on but I am realizing it's getting toasted by something elsewhere in the circuit.

I looked up the power board to replace it but it's no longer being supplied but apparently they still sell repair kits for it on shopjimmy. By the looks of it there could be as many as 16 additional components that need repair to get this sucker back up and running. https://www.shopjimmy.com/sharp-runt...rd-repair-kit/

Current voltages of my regulator (going top to bottom) are 28V 25.7V 0V 4.8V

Now these first two numbers seem very high for a 12V regulator so it's just a matter of time before this current fix fries, but that picture looks awesome. No lines, no issues, backlight seems ok. Just need a way to turn it on I think.

Sharp 80” long short flash backlight error - Help
    by Superbee_dad
    Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

Sharp LC-55N7000U 1 long 5 short blinking, no display
    by cm0002
    Hi everyone,

I've got a Sharp LC-55N7000U. It has a standbuy LED when plugged in, but powering it on causes it to blink 1 LONG and 5 FAST. Theres no display and no backlight.

Nothing I checked has that blink pattern for Sharp TVs and there's only one multi-button on the TV itself so that service menu trick involving the input button doesn't work either. Its a post-Hisense buyout TV so that probably makes sense lol

I've tried disconnecting the panel sides from the TCON alternating sides, but no change in behaviour even when the whole TCON is disconnected,...

    Sharp LC-80LE844U Blinks 2 slow, 5 fast
    by joblo37pam
It's been a while since I've checked in here or needed input on narrowing down what to replace on a TV repair, but I've got one on my bench now that has me wondering. The lack of part (board) availability means I may need to do some component-level diagnostics, and a second opinion is always good when it comes to that.

The issue - Sharp LC-80LE844U does not display. Power light comes on for a while, then you can hear a relay click off and the light blinks twice slow, then five times fast. Service manual points to 'Panel Power Supply Error' with this code, but isn't much more help...

    Sharp Lc-70le734u blinking 2 long 5 short
    by Charrlie
Just picked up this sharp tv not too long ago and it started not wanting to start the other day, giving me the notorious 2 long-5 short blink pattern indicating a power issue. I was able to force start it a handful of times (once the tv has fired up it has no issue running for 5+ hours). But now as of yesterday, no matter what I try to do button combination wise, I just receive the same blinking code.

So I busted into it and have done the following:

-Removed the power board and inspected for any bad caps, burn spots etc. Do not see any instances of such ...

I will describe my problem with a TV in those short following terms to be the most precise :

white led light logo at startup,
after 2 minutes, blinking 3 times a row, repeating
no backlight (and apparently no picture, checked panel with flashlight)
    no startup sound
