technica led 40 e271 not storing channels

this tv would work fine on scart or hdmi ,
but no digital channels just the first time install menu
every time you switched on
i tried to find how to do factory reset with no luck
when auto tune was completed it would show how many chans found ,
then after pressing ok or exit
tv would return to sby and no chans stored
i found that menu 1147 would enter s mode
and the 6th choice on the list was
: init fac channel ,
so i pressed ok and ok appeared .i exited s menu and now tv comes out of sby and after 10 secs goes back to sby ,so ive made things worse
as tv wont now stay on and cant see how to get back into s mode
the f/w version is:v3 00,669 ,s1
can anyone help or advise please

You could speak with Microtech A/V Services to see if their EEPROM will do the job should the board number and screen details match.

Isn't the code you gave above(1147) the Service Menu where Factory Reset would be one option.
I'm not familiar with the set so other than that I'm don't know.

On one web page it said
"Hi on the remote control press menu 4725, select reset, thanks"

yes when i entered s mode i should have paid more attention ,
i just saw factory init tv and pressed ok dohh!

earlier i wanted factory reset and selected 6 then ok
that got me into deep water as tv would bootloop
managed to get out ,with powering on with vol down and power on on tv
so i still would like to know how to do factory reset ?
what is debug?

mr barton suggested eeprom replace but this is proving to be a problem
panel number TMSD 306 69A 12023.
if a factory reset doesnt help i want to try reprog the eeprom with CH341A
cam anyone offer futher advice thanks

Is 5 INIT TV - initialiase TV?

if its made by umc i have had good help in getting the firmware for sets

Send me a picture of your rear label of your TV and I will get you the firmware file for you. Out of interest what's your screen model number?

send an email explaining what is the problem and model number ask for the files ..if tv not quite right after update ask them for a better file .. i had to try 3 times before it was right one .

seem to remember to reset its hold certain buttons down and power on
whoops i forgot that first contact was through the UMC (UK) Limited Technical Helpline then they emailed me .

If possible could you post Model Number, Panel Number, Mainboard Number and Tcon along with the bin file on th EEPROM thread.
It would be helpful for others who have the same problem.

main board :tmsd 306 69a 12023
theres 2 bin files extract to clean usb ,insert and apply mains wait 20 mins to complete ,it took me 3 attempts before it would accept the f/w


tried 5 times but manage attachments wont let me upload bin files?

Add them in a winzip file or something similar. That will work.
