Samsung ue40j5200aw - Replacing chip on the T-con board.

    Hey everyone!
I've got this TV from friend. My guess is t-con board is faulty.

If i connect/disconnect the flat cable on tcon board this is the image i get.

then the picture will go away.
I've measured a few things on the board. I didnt find any short. There are voltages but i dont know if they are correct.
There is a main chip CM2801C which i think is faulty.
There is an eeprom i could programme it whit this:

but my board is a rev C7.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Possibly , but more likely to be a display issue .

You mean the LCD panel itself or those Ics on flex cable that attached to the panel?

Don't waste time and money, it's 100% display panel issue at gate.drivers, them are embedded in the glass so no handling or access is possible, sell all the boards..

Connect only one side at a time between the tcon and panel. If one side is good, so is your tcon.

hi! if i disconnect one side of the t-con, the right side of the lcd panel goes white.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

what to check before replacing hybrid MOSFET/controller IC on SAMSUNG TV power board
                by MacGyver's paperclip
TLDNR; Have an old SAMSUNG TV with blown hybrid MOSFET/controller IC on power board to be replaced; replaced blown main capacitor on same power board several years ago successfully, and TV has been working fine since until this IC popped all of a sudden. Want to know what if anything to check on board to make sure before replacing and testing with new IC. Have 2 new matching ICs, DIP socket to make removal/replacement easier, a whole other known-good power board with which to compare, if necessary.
