    Polaroid FLM-373B BSD Issues.

    Hi all, it's been a while but i need help.
    I have this 2nd hand tv, I've had it a while now, and for the past year, I been tolerating a tuner issue.
    if the set is cold, the tuner will not work, i get a BSD and no signal on the screen, and the speakers make an annoying tic tic tic noise, when you turn the tv on, the ticking is strong, but then fades to a soft ticking after a while.
    All other functions work.. all button controls, HDMI , Video , Computer input etc.
    Strangely tho,,in the menu, if i goto the HDTV settings, there is none,, the menu just goes poof.. but i can get into the rest of the other menu fine.
    if i let the tv sit and warm up for a while, and cycle it on/off a few times, the tuner will finally start working.
    I'm wondering if this is a cold solder issue or a BADCAP...
    Any tips before i start digging into this thing...

      could very well be a bad cap. Heat up the tuner and or other parts of the main board with wifey's hair drier, turn the set on and see what happens. Just heat parts of interest enough not to burn yourself. 40 to 50C is more than enough.

          Good afternoon,

          I have a Polaroid P43D300.
          It shipped with WiFi and Bluetooth.

          Two weeks ago, I ran through the first time installation.
          This did a full reset and went through the first time setup.

          Once complete, I went to settings > sound.
          selected Audio Link, changed setting from disabled to enabled, pressed green button on remote and the tv does a search (discovery) for Bluetooth devices.

          search completes and doesn't find any devices.

          I have tried everything I can think of.

          Can someone provide...

          I can hear Fred Sanford now...."YOU BIG DUMMY".....I pulled the "F" connector out of the tuner by accident. The tuner number is BN40-00248B. Low and behold I had a scrap board with tuner number BN40-00248A. Although the tuner is different (according to Encompass.com) it's footprint on the board is exactly the same as the 248B so I decided to de-solder the tuner off the scrap board to see what I was getting in to.

          As you can see in the picture the terminals and solder pads are super small. No matter what I tried I could not get either the terminals or support...

          Hi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).

          I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH, which has started exhibiting the well-known issues of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3.

          All stress tests run perfectly, and there are no performance issues. However, the solder joints are almost certainly starting to fail. If the top two screws on the back are not screwed in, moving the screen results in a BSOD or, in some cases, a slight artifact and freeze. This is a 2023 notebook..

          How can I extend its lifespan? Could reflow help?

          It has ryzen 5 5500h, rtx 2050, no soldered ram.
