Re: Projector Epson EH-TW570 not Warming Up
Yes exactly, I saw in the service manual that there is an "After Service Menu" that contain all the errors codes, but since there is no picture I can't view these error codes. Do you think there is a way to access the eeprom to be able to read these codes ?

Projector Epson EH-TW570 not Warming Up
Hello,
I have a video projector Epson EH-TW570 that isn't displaying anything. It does power up but the Status LED is alwyas blinking. In the troubleshooting section of the user manual, this means that the projector is warming up. But unfortunately the lamp stays off so the projector can't be warm. The ballast as benn replaced and the previous owner says he replaced the lamp.
I have found the service manual but it does'nt show the schematics or any testing procedures.
I hope someone can help me with this
Edit :
I've already replaced the two temp sensor with 6k7 resistor but no luck.
Here is the voltages from the power supply connector on the ballast.
14,3 V
14,3 V
-3,16 V
3,16 V
0,414 VLast edited by bermo96; 07-21-2020, 04:14 AM.Tags: None

Hoping someone here can put me on the right track. I'm trying to troubleshoot/flowchart the "internal projector error" on my newly acquired Facebook Marketplace bought Epson 5040UB projector (3LED, not DLP). Owner said it needed new lamp, actually error code blink pattern indicates "Internal Projector Error, call Epson support". Unit is out of warranty as of 8/19
Here's what happens:
1) Power on
2) Blue power indicator lights and the lens cover motor opens the lens cover, light fan noise heard
3) Blue status light flashes for appx 4 minutes... -

by narfhi all,
first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask
i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).
what i've found so far:
- the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
- shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
- not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms.... -
