    lg 60pb690v

    Hi

I was wondering if I could get some advice regarding the top buffer from a lg 60pb690 plasma tv.

With all boards in place, all the voltages are present apart from the 18v and the 187 v (which is fluctuating). But no picture.

Once the top buffer is removed all voltages return and are stable inc the above 18v and the 187v. The bottom half of the picture is present.

On the top buffer I removed a cap (c873 please see attached photo cap with red arrow) which I found to be reading short.

I removed it but found that the short is on the cap pads.

I have done the buffer test and cannot find a faulty chip on the buffer board.

Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Found the short - it was c865.
Just wondering does anybody know its value?

I was going to use a ceramic 4.7 100v cap?
