Might be a bad mainboard, I'm currenly working on a uf6400 that has almost the exact same symptoms. Can you get the TV to display any video on the 'black' half?Comment

What happen if you have ribbon cable between LCD panel and T-CON board connected only one at time?
Can we see the pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing all the boards?Never stop learning

Re: LG UF6450 half screen is black, half is blue/white
The T-CON board is in the middle of the picture, you can see two flat ribbon cables to the panel, you need to to try having one of them connected one at a time to see what you see on the screen, you must be real careful when disconnect and reconnect the cables.
Note that the tab bonding boards are on the bottom edge of the LCD panel and they can be damaged if some one spray the glass cleaner directly on the panel and the liquid can seep on to the tab bonding boards and cause damages.Never stop learning

Re: LG UF6450 half screen is black, half is blue/white
Looks like there's a couple different mainboards, your part number is EBT64048902, your full model number is 55UF6450-UA AUSYLJR, DO NOT get EBT64049103 model number 65UF6450-UA BUSYLJR, I don't think it would be a direct match, like EBT64048902 would be.Last edited by nomoresonys; 06-20-2020, 08:29 AM.Comment

So you are not going to do any Voltages testing on the T-CON board?Never stop learning

Re: LG UF6450 half screen is black, half is blue/white
First I would test the fuse on the Tcon and see if you have the same voltage on either side of it. The fuse is often marked as "F1"Last edited by dick_barton; 06-24-2020, 09:31 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

by Raulnngood night! I have this screen that looks half black and half white. the tcon gives a low vgh value (5-6v). the rest seem fine. I first removed the flex from one half of the panel and then the other. Removing the left, vgh increases it to 25-26v. I think the problem is in that area, but there are not many elements on the integrated controller board. there are no shorted capacitors. could they be a cof? Some help?
By the way, now the entire screen is black. Maybe some flex was not connected correctly... I have exchanged the flex and there are no variations, I don't think they are the... -

Any idea what could be causing the left half of the screen to be completely black and the right half completely white?
No picture from any input or OSD. The audio, however, works fine. Also, the backlight changes intensity along with the input feed.
I've tested the voltages on all the marked test points I could find and everything reads OK.
I've tried applying both heat and pressure to the tabs connecting the panel to the buffer boards to no effect.
Unplugging the white ribbon cables going into the 2 buffer boards on the black half of... -
