If you are measuring 68Ω across Q9951 G~S I suspect the drive ic is bad. If you look at the voltages on the ic you will see pins 10 & 11 are both 10v, this suggests to me that the (internal fet) between Vs and HDrv is shorted D~S
The ic's pin 10 connects to one side of R9987 (68Ω) the other side of the resistor connects to Q9951 source, so when you measure across R9973 you are actually reading R9987Last edited by R_J; 03-17-2020, 04:15 PM.Comment

Samsung LN46C630K1F – Intermittent Backlight, BN44-00341B Power Board
Summary for TL-DR readers:
• Backlight is intermittent, may come on with TV boot or not. No flickering, never fails during TV on.
• Have obtained Samsung schematic & service documents - Can upload if helpful.
• Have read ALL applicable threads
• C1818 and CP820 replaced as low hanging fruit
• CN802 data taken for normal and failed BL operation. SUMMARY: Pin 2 - 5vDet = 3.52 @normal, 0.0 @BL fail. Pin 6 - EPWM = 1.631 @normal, 1.058 @BL fail.

Ok.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.

Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.
My issue: No backlight.
Model: QE82Q70RAT
Type No: QE82Q70RAT
The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.
So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

TV was fixed just after removing Samsung's rear snap cover.
This curved TV's construction is rather interesting. When the snapped on back is removed, rest of the TV will relax the curvature. Top of LCD panel is loose as it wants to straighten out against the slightly curved bezel. Snapped back provide most of the curvature shape. So just simple disassembly of rear cover will allow the rest of the TV frame to relax its curvature. Thats probably what fixed it but no idea which connection. 4x LEDs are edge lit.
Maybe PSU->backlight connector didn't have a good contact?...07-23-2025, 12:34 AM
