[QUOTE=blake.s;942306]I have a Sony XBR-65X850E that seems to not want to do anything. It does not power on or show any picture. The power board checks out and works. Pictures are attached of the tv.
What does it really mean the power board check out and work?
Does it the power board gets all the control Voltage and puts out all the Voltages?
You need to report the Voltage readings of the power board connector that goes to the main board, you MUST PUT DOWN PIN NAME AND FOLLOW BY THE VOLTAGE READING FOR EACH PIN, that will be the starting point.
We also need good clear high res pictures of the whole top side of the power board, the picture you provide is not clear enough to read anything on the board. The picture you post looks like to be from the web with low res.Last edited by budm; 02-13-2020, 05:50 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Sony XBR-65X850E not powering on or showing picture on screen
Connector CN6401 has pin label for each pin so you MUST put down the pin number/name and follow by the Voltage reading for each pin.
There are 24 pins (it has ODD and EVEN pin columns) total so are you sure you are do not even have STBY3.3V on pin 5?
Make sure you count the pin correctly.Never stop learning

by DKWS89Hey Guys,
So a few months ago my Sony XBR 49x900e TV screen stopped displaying the picture but the backlight comes on and I still get sound when I use the remote and navigate to certain apps. I haven't checked anything with the meter yet but started with ordering some replacement boards. I've tried replacing the BMKS board (used from ebay) and also completed the firmware upgrade based on Nicks TV repairs youtube video. I've also replaced the TCON (twice) and PIB.
All of these changes have resulted in the same issue with no picture. I've also tried disconnecting the ribbons... -
by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by KYBOSHPrevious owner said TV just went blank one day.
They attempted to open the back panel and yanked the power connector off the power supply in the meantime.
Easily fixed that and got the TV to turn on. Backlights come one with everything connected. Good Sign.
The mainboard shows signs of life (red light on digital audio out is on) but that's about it. Good Sign.
There is not blinking LED and the most importantly there is LED response and sound when I press the MENU button on remote control. GREAT Sign.
I just downloaded the Sony KD-75X7800F Service Manual and... - Loading...
