Samsung UN50MU6300FXZA with no power showing

I have a samsung un50mu6300fxza with no red led status showing up. Tv does not power up, show backlights or anything.

I ran tests on pin set CNM803. Voltages are below

    ANA_DIM 2 / FAIL_COUNT 1 - 0v
    OD_ON/OFF 4 / A13V 3 - 8.9v
    PWM_BLU 6 / A13V 5 - 8.9v
    POWER_ON 8 / A13V 7 - 8.9v
    GND 10 / A13V 9 - 8.9v
    GND 12 / GND 11 - 0v

Edit: TV set just randomly came on with power showing it is going through. Still no backlights but the led light shows red.
Edit 2: Now set has backlights lit but no picture coming to screen. However, tv took atleast 30 mins to come up with power going through it and when power is unplugged it repeats the same process.

On these power supplies, the A13V will be around 8 volts in standby, You can check the backlight voltage (275v) across CH1 when the tv is first turned on. If the voltage is there, check the two led strings with your tester

The power came on and when the tv finally powered on it showed the voltage when it was turned on. The backlights did come on and voltage was 275v. There is just no picture on the tv now.

if the tv does not power up, it could be the eeprom, also try disconnecting the wifi board.

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
          by PantherDave
          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
          by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
          by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Samsung Chromebook Pro missing 1.2V power rail and no boot
          by theflyingsquirrel
I am trying to repair my Samsung Chromebook Pro. There is no boot. Upon turning on, the screen is blank and there is no backlight. Power LED is blue. I tried refresh with power and esc refresh with power with no avail.

When I measure the 1.2V rail, it is pulsing. It will jump from 0 to 1.2V then 0 again. I replaced the 2 MOSFET and even power management IC and it is the same. Resistance from midpoint between mosfet to ground is 0.5 kOhm but it will show 250 Ohm first before jumping to 0.5 kOhm. So it feels like it was charging up some capacitor. Since MOSFET and IC was replaced, I...

UN65TU700DF picture and sound but no backlight. BL tests ok but repl. PSU didnt fix!

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...
