I apologize if this question has been asked before. I have searched this forum as well as others to find the issue to my problem. My tv powers on as I can see backlights but I have no picture. I dont see the Vizio logo on startup just a black screen that blinks. I replaced the power supply, motherboard and tcon. The issue I had prior to the black screen was the picture would jump and progressively get worse the longer the tv was on. I have tried the old parts and still have no picture now. Any ideas on a fix?

Re: Vizio E55-E2
The picture is now back. Cables from tcon to panel may not been seated properly. However, the original problem is still there. Video is attached

Re: Vizio E55-E2
the #7 reply is the likely answer to your problem ALTHOUGH your "discovery" that the cabling was not seated properly changed some of the result leaves one wondering about all the cabling and things that you might have touched during the process. It is likely that you have a side "driver" issue which as suggested can potentially be somewhat fully addressed with the "tape cutoff method" because there are no side tabs on this set. The method uses a piece of tape to cutoff the signals going towards the "in panel side drivers" on the "bad side" which is the side that is not displaying a good picture.Comment

by maricmHI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
Have a Samsung UN50NU7400 which shows a boot screen and a screen saver if left on long enough but no picture ?
Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ? -
by csmithI replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off.... - Loading...
