Hello,
I am helping someone with a problem with their Prima TV.
The original problem was that the TV won't start. The red LED went off and back to red LED after a few seconds. When it works, the LED will turn blue and the picture will start.
He ordered a P/S from somwehere and replaced it. It worked for about 3 weeks and the same thing happened again.
He is a bit reluctant to order another P/S.
This is where I come in.
I looked at the original P/S and there are no domed caps. I left my ESR-Micro at work..
I found the s/m for this TV here:
S/M
Page 37 is the schematic for the p/s. It pretty well matches with what I see inside.
Now, this p/s puts out 24V & 5vsb. I checked with DMM and the 5v is there. No 24v.
To check the functionality of the p/s, I removed it out of the TV.
Can I jumper pin 2 to pin1 on the p/s output to force the p/s turn on (maybe then see if 24v rail comes up)?
Thanks guys.
