      As you indicate, you may then end up with potentially two boards, working and non-working, which could be useful in the future. Further, if you go with a replacement board, before installing, you can do some "strategic measurements" (ie. resistance checks) and comparing the two to see which components on the "bad" board are maybe in trouble for future "effort" maybe.

        Can you clarify this?

        I've attached a photo with the FETs, diodes and capacitors marked by color.

        Orange - FETs/transistors
        Red - Diodes
        Blue - Capacitors

        For all of the Orange ones (FETS/transistors):
        1. Set your meter on continuity mode (e.g. it beeps when you have your two leads touching each other).
        2. For each component, there are silk screen markings "G" "E" and "C".
        3. measure with the meter all the possible combinations:

        G - E
        G - C
        C - E

        4. Note down which combinations are shorted, and for which component.

        For all of the red ones (Diodes):
        1. Set your meter on continuity mode (e.g. it beeps when you have your two leads touching each other).
        2. For each component, there are silk screen markings "A" "A" and "K". (two anodes, one cathode, it's a dual diode package)
        3. Measure the possible combinations to see if there are any dead shorts across the diode(s)

        "A" (left side) to "K"
        "A" (right side) to "K"

        4. Note down which combinations are shorted, and for which component.

        For all of the blue ones (Capacitors):
        1. Set your meter on continuity mode (e.g. it beeps when you have your two leads touching each other).
        2. For each component, put the meter leads - one on each pin and see if they continuously beep. If so, there is a short there (or caused by other components that share common pads.
        3. Note each component that continuously deeps.



        It may help if you take the SC board image and mark it up in mspaint

          What I need to know is what is stamped on the front of the transistors, under the screw hole. Here are 2 examples.

            My bad, I thought by shortened you meant without nubs on the bottom sticking out.

            Q402 - All combinations beep
            Q403 - All combinations beep
            Q404 - All combinations beep

            Q421-423 - All combinations beep

            D401 - A to K both left and right side beep
            D423 - A to K both left and right side beep

            C411, C412, C413, C416, and C417 beep

                If you order them from ebay, make sure you check them in diode mode before installing them. I bought 200 GT30j124 igbt's that thankfully were real and not fake Chinese crap that I use as substitutes for most igbt's. I have been burned by buying fake transistors from all over the world before. PM me if you want to get a few from me.

                  Hi Guys, I'm trying to repair the same board.
                  At first inspection it had one blown (exploded) diode (D422 - RFE10BM3S) and 3 transistors in short (Q421, 422 and 433 - 30F125).
                  The closest match for diode I found was RFN 10BM 3S, and replaced both D421 and D422. Note "RFN" instead of "RFE", not sure this makes a difference. These diodes I got from a reputable online AU supplier, I trust they are genuine.
                  For transistors, I could only find the exact part (30F125) on ebay, from China. These arrived last night (after 3 weeks).
                  Got quite excited and installed them straight away. Excitement was short lived, my first board repair failed with a faint buzz. Absolutely disappointing. No bang, no sparks, not even a thread of smoke .
                  A quick tally after second failure is pretty discouraging:
                  - Q421, 422 and 433 - 30F125 are in short again
                  - Q621 - 45F128 short (only one, 2 of the 3 are good)
                  - Q661 - RJP63G4 short
                  - Q402, 403, 404 - RJP30Y2A and D401 - RFUH20 appear to be in short, but I have not yet separated them. Some may be OK.
                  The 2 diodes I replaced appear to have survived.

                  I didn't even know I can get fake components on ebay, ex China. Thanks for sharing this. After reading your posts, I strongly suspect (80%) the 30F125 I got from ebay, were fake.

                  I would need a bit of guidance on what equivalents I could use in place of 30F125? I cannot find them with original name anywhere online, for Australia (RS-Components, Element14 ...).
                  I have not yet searched for the components failed last night, I may need to come back for advice on equivalents for those as well.
                  Also, the other help I need is: What else will I need to replace together with these transistors? I understand there are some small IC and SMD transistors, resistors which usually fail together?

                    To close my story, after replacing everything listed in previous post with genuine spares from reputable source, I had the board repaired and working OK. However the TV ran into 8 Blinks error code. Eventually I fixed that as well, and the TV is working just fine in my patio as outdoor TV.
