This is interesting, if you could fix your tcon, you would have a spare.

    1) There is at least 1 LED that I see, LED3_AVDD next to RD02 component. I expect this LED to come on if the boosted AVDD Voltage is present.
    2) I see VGH and VCOM test points close to IC U0205.
    3) I see V12 test point next to inductor L202.
    4) What is the P/N of U0201?
I cannot see the rest of the test points due to poor picture that is not on focus.
You need to take hi-res straight shot of the whole T-CON board.

good question but probably not important. The reason being, is just measure and post the results. The "wrong voltage" will usually standout... low, high or otherwise. You aren't looking for an absolute value at this point.

further, the labeling isn't going to be "exact" for all set and hence look for things like "VXXX" or so as potential points of interest. As budm has indicated, those that he listed are a good "type" to look for.

Check: with and without ribbon cables between the LCD panel connected. Do not disconnect and re-connect any cables when TV is plugged into the outlet.
    VGH
    VCOM
    V12

Does LED3_AVDD light up when TV is turned on?

Just in case it can't be fixed, list there, the first one has a bit different numbers think I would skip that one, but from 2 down a ways look like a match, they seem to have a bunch of them, they also have a make offer option: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...vn05.7&_sop=15

See the labels vgb 14, vgb13 etc, and the little round copper looking pads, there's like 28 or so, those are test points but I don't know what voltage they should be.

To be honest I have trouble knowing what the voltages should be, haven't had to deal with them very often, well lets see which one you have, what are the first 10 letter/numbers on your white sticker? Should start with bn-96xxx.

It is looking like a faulty tcon, I would try one if they're not to expensive, tcon can be tested, how to test can be confusing tho if not clearly marked.

Hi neilc6, I've tried disconnecting the ribbon cables one at a time and have the same issue. It seems that as soon as the t con board is connected the leds go out even with no ribbons connected to the LCDs. There are no lights built onto the tcon board. Could it be a faulty tcon board?

Disconnect ribbon cables (unplugged) one at a time and see if you get a picture.

Ok so when I disconnect the power board from the main board I can see the LEDs light up from the holes behind. Coincidentally it seems that if I keep the power connect to the main board and disconnect the tcon board the LEDs do light up. What can you make from this?

    Kind regards

    Display issue Samsung TV UA65JS9000W
    by FourRunner
I purchased a used Samsung TV model UA65JS9000W recently knowing it had an issue with the screen. When switched on the picture was bright both sides of the screen but a little darker in the middle of the screen. Thinking this was the back lights (side mounted LCD strips) I replaced these, however the issue is still there. I am now thinking it may be a TCOM issue, but am not sure, any advice on this would be appreciated. Also whilst changing out the back lights I noticed the the thick clear plastic sheet (maybe 1.5 to 2mm thick) below the diffusers there is cracking (up to 75mm) on the sides and...

Samsung Series 9 - BIOS issue
    by Kjell
After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).

Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...

Samsung UN55MU6103F video problem; has colored stripes on the display
    by alro7779
    Hello, everyone!

A co-worker gave me a 55-inch Samsung TV model UN55MU6103F so I can try to fix the following problem... As soon as I plug it in to the wall, the TV turns on, and the display shows a few stripes all over the screen. I took off the back cover and disconnected both ribbon cables that go to the display (one at a time) so by doing that I can narrow down the bad section of the problem, but in both cases the display turns black. I know there are some voltages that I have to check (VGH, VGL, etc.) but don't know what reading each has to show. If anyone could guide me on this,...
