Can I replace a TV main board with one from a smaller screen size

    Hello,

I have in my possession a Samsung LE47C750R2K with a faulty main board which has a part number of BN41-01423B BN94-03388E.

It seems like this board is used in both 40 inch and 47 inch screen TVs (LE40C750R2K and LE47C750R2K). The boards are physically identical with the same part number but there's a bar code sticker on it with the TV model written on it.

I would like to know whether it's possible to fit a main board intended for the LE40C750R2K in a LE47C750R2K. Or are there some sort of programming to make it work for a particular screen size only rendering it non-interchangeable between the different screen sizes?

It will likely work, give it a try. If the picture is not right go into the service menu and change the model or panel number

first go to Samsung website for firmware.. if you find the firmware all same size as you mentioned your type LE47C750R2K and other size then go head and need to do at SM as R_J suggest . . if there firmware as update each panel size individual then will be hard to do

I went to the Samsung website but there doesn't appear to be firmware available apart from 2 upgrade files which appears to be the same

        https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/m...E40C750R2KXXU/
        https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/m...E46C750R2KXXU/

I wan to be sure that the board intended for the 40 inch will work in the 46 inch before I commit to buy the replacement board.

I have put a Samsung UN40D main board in UN46D (BN97 part number matched and shopjimmy said they were compatible) and an LG 47LN main (had lying around and purchased another time because it was cheaper) in a 42LN. TVs worked without having to make changes in the service menu.

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
                by ygorsan
                Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                🧩 Problem Summary:
                • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

                Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
                by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                CN6401
                Pin 01 NC
                Pin 02 NC
                Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
                Pin 04 "N/C"
                Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...
