Hey guys this unit power cycles with no image but backlight does come on and then shut off. Unplugging the cable in the picture makes the backlight stay on but no response other than that from it. I am assuming main board is faulty wanted to double check before I spent money. Thanks!!

Re: Samsung UN55KS800DF
Main board trouble indeed! One more test. Put all the boards back into the TV and disconnect the WiFi module and power the TV on. Another thing you can try is to freeze the EEProm on the main board with a can of air upsidedown and see what happens. -
Re: Samsung UN55KS800DF
Know error with these sets.
Possible culprits are mainboard (- in combination with the one connect box ) or display.
This set does the same when the FCC cables are disconnected so there is no need to try that. We saw several of these where the mainboard and one connect box were defect, some even have a defect mainboard in combination with the display.Comment

Re: Samsung UN55KS800DF
Can you borrow and oscilloscope? Probe the LVDS cable between the main and Tcon, while flicking the menu on and off. If you see a difference on the oscilloscope while flicking the menu on and off, your next stop is the Tcon. Measure around the Tcon for voltages.Comment

Re: Samsung UN55KS800DF
I have same model. Tried 2 sets of P.S. & Main. Board #s match. Ver. # match. Same symptoms. Why do back light stay on ( no dark areas ) with #20 plug disconnected from main if display can be the problem? Shouldn't set light up w/o one connect attached? Is it excessive draw by back light causing cycling? Thanks.Comment

by elpatxi_bcnHello!
I just got a Samsung TV model HG75EJ690UB 75" and 4K. It is a hotel TV, with a slightly different version of the Tizen operating system than the TVs at home.
Being a hotel, it is covered in many functions. With the service menu I can unlock some, but not others. For example, I can't install apps like Netflix etc...
The fact is that it seems that I can replace the main by a, say, "normal". I think the one that corresponds is NU7105, ref BN94-02635. At work, which is a convention center and a hotel, I have many TVs from 55" to 85" that... -
by Michael LongI had a Dead Samsung UN65MU6300FXZA with Mainboard BN94-12440E
Dead / No Power / No Standby Light results after power company had three
consecutive power outages on/off/on/off/on/off after which TV was rendered unresponsive.
After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect. The IC1604 is a surface mounted device (SMD) EEPROM, Winbond Model 25Q40CLSIP. A read on this EEPROM came back with all FF FF FF FF FF in all registers blank and empty of data. I had a spare mainboard with intact IC1604 and utilized... -
by Lee M.When plugged in it will click and cycle the BL on and off, no pic and does not respond to remote. When I disconnect the cable from the PS board to the main board and then plug it in the BL will come on and stay on. There are only two boards in this set, the LVDS cables from the panel driver boards connect directly to the main board. Since the BL comes on and stays on I'm thinking the PS board is ok and the problem is on the main board. Should I order another main board or do I need to do more testing? thanks, Lee

by PMan976I have a Samsung TV that has a bn94-07217N main board. I am having a hard time finding the N version of the board but I can find Ver K and Ver F boards. Does anyone know what the differences are and whether they are interchangeable?
I was told that the N ver is a Canadian version.
If anyone has any information on the Samsung versions it would be appreciated. -
by BiruslapioHello, the problem with this TV is it has all the Y and X voltages, but does not produce any image.
It had a TON of cracked solder joints on these boards, fixed all that I could find, but in the last test I forgot to plug in the Y-SUS to control board flat cable, it was left dangling and possibly some pins shorted to the panel metal ground, the X-Main buzzed quietly then blew up in 3 seconds after powering up, annoying.
Two RJH30E2 shorted, they are 360V 35A 1.7VCE IGBTs, the problem is I don't have any 360V IGBTs, only 300V or 600V, would two RJP3065 fit in? It's... - Loading...
