un65js8500 Diffusing panel
Ive replaced the side edge light led on this tv, but they were so bad they melted the thick hard diffusing panel.
Ive shave most of the burn part off, but still cant get the light to travel to the middle of the screen..
Also tried replacing it with bottom edge light diffusion panel,it fits.. but still no light to middle of screen..
Any Suggestions?... -

I Ordered complete set of boards from SJ for about 90.00,got them in yesterday.Swapped them all out.. Tv works perfect now. Cant beat it for only 90.00!Leave a comment:

Sharp Lc-70le755 Buzzing
So i just repaired this tv by removing the side tabs. Picture came on perfect. Didnt have it on long, as I started to hear a buzzing noise that wasnt there be for the repair. I didnt see any bulging caps or burn marks anywhere.... -

I get an image, no backlight
Tried with mainboard dissconnect, just the same results
I used the the chassie as ground when checking voltage

I have a BN44-00768A power supply that gets power,but not to both backlight leads
Checked voltages from Main Board to Power Supply. All Checked Good
I have a Standby light
I see no signs of bullgin/swollen Caps
I see no signs of burnt out components
I have 2 sets of wires that go directly from the PSU to the led strips
With Tv on , and led strips unplugged from PSU. I get 145v on right. and 0v on the left.
I Get the same results with the led strips plugged in also.... -

Ive been reading on the 70" version with defective side tabs
Just want some advice before start ripping of tabs
Tested the transister black lead on center pin, red on left =no reading, red on right pin -07.. Mulitmeter set to 2000k Ohm..
First Pic= Just left flex ribbon disconnected
Second Pic= Just right flex ribbon disconnected
Third Pic= Flex cable at bottom of screen
Which side would I take the side tabs off?
