Sharp Aquos LC-60E77UN- Backlight making the screen flash brighter

    Hey guys,

Last thread I was able to get an image on my screen, now the entire thing will occasionally flash, sometimes faster, sometimes slower but consistently lighter colors in bars. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I can upload a video once I get home.

I have taken the back plastic off to look at the panel and it seemed to go away with a light smack on the back of the panel. Now that I have reassembled it seems to be back.

    Thanks
    Sam

Detach the tcon and retest, if it flickers again it's a led B.L. problem, otherwise it's panel defect.

Which panel is the tcon panel? I disconnected one of them and the entire screen went dark so I think I did the wrong one.

Sorry, the app on my phone wasn't allowing the full res video to go up, here is a new one: https://youtu.be/oLrmErY61wY

And if it is the backlight would I be able to get a replacement online and swap it with the one in my system? And I've been told it's a CCFL system.

take a picture of the back of the tv (back removed) so the forum can see how things are connected. You need to do the "disconnect the tcon" test again.

Too fast flashes, too poor resolution to evaluate, it's you that must see from near if the image is affected or are only brightness flashes..

Sharp 80” long short flash backlight error - Help
                    by Superbee_dad
                    Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

                    > I checked voltages on the power supply board and they all check out .. including 3.28 volts at the error pin.
                    > There is power to the cpu and T-CONN and no faults found there. The cpu has a flashing...

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
                    by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

Sharp Aquos Lc-80LE757U flashing Sharp on screen when plugged in
                    by sefoster
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

Nikon D800 camera - flash don’t work and capacitor don’t charge
                    by corrize
                    Hello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.

In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display....

Sharp Aquos LC-40UG7252E LCD TV burn in?
                    by jonah1024
                    Hello!

I'm a few days old into this TV screens repair universe so please bear with me.

Recently, and all of a sudden my 40” 4K Sharp Aquos LCD TV turned on with colors all smudged in some places on the screen that remain like that even without any kind of video source. I do have image but the colors are smudged/tinted/ washed out in patches as per defects. This to me looks similar to burn in but I’m shore this is not an OLED.

                    - I did the classic unplug and hold power button to discharge the caps but it didn't help.
                    - I did a factory reset as well...
