Still searching for a schematic. The AZ2W chassis does not bring results nor does the board ID and manufacturing code. Even tried the QR code with no result.

use infra red to find the hot spot then freeze it to confirm . just a suggestion .. probably feel it with a finger with power removed at fault condition .

Re: sony kdl-22ex320 fuse blows after 10 mins

Had a senior moment today, there's me thinking there is no 3.3v stb when it dies, perhaps I should check the gator clip in the negative probe is actually OK before relying on the meter readings. It seems that the stb does drop out for a while but comes back fairly quickly it just doesn't seem to wake the beast.

So today I soldered the clip onto a spare banana lead and.went a-probing. To which I ended up briefly shorting the gate and drain of that solitary j649 MOSFET and cha-ching the pos turned on! So either the FET is toast or its feed circuit.

Don't really want to keep recreating the glitch but it does it everytime.

Do these TVs use CFLs for a backlight or led strips? Starting to think it might be the backlight causing the issue.

OK so its not going to be an inverter failing that's causing it then. Having only ever messed with lcd, I wasn't sure how the backlight was done on an led.

Going to pull that MOSFET tomorrow and check it.

got hold of the service manual with schematics

Its too big to upload here so I'm going to take the relevant pages out and upload

After much agro here is the schematic, no component list for it though.

Thanks for trying to help and dealing with my abstract ramblings. Pain meds can take me on some weird mental journeys.

                    Current state of play is..

There is no 3.3v stb output
The 12v line comes back briefly after 240v applied then decays rapidly (because of the lack of stb switching?)
The unregulated 24v line for the backlight reads 17v then decays away.

Levels from all the windings on the low voltage side are lower than I would expect or non existent leading me to believe its the hot side going down. Going to look again at the pwm and bridge.

Ok, gave up on this psu as it seemed to be just getting worse.

Picked up another tv with a smashed screen for 25 quid delivered off ebay. Up and running in 10 minutes.

                      Thanks for trying guys.

Harman Kardon sub TS11 (ds15 amplifer) blows fuse and mosfets
                        by BlackScreen_22
Hi, I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert and I've reached a point where I don't know what to try/do anymore...
Starting from the beginning: I opened this subwoofer for the first time with a very strong smell of burnt electrical components, I realize that on the amplifier board there is a hole between V+ OUT and GND about the size of a finger, the damaged components were the shorted mosfets, two damaged zener diodes and two capacitors. I bought everything, I fixed the hole by cutting the pcb and putting a piece of a perforated board.
I had no problems connecting mosfets and capacitors,...

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
                        by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                        The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

I could have sworn I posted about this before, but I can't seem to find the post..

                        To whit..

I have a 60LN5400 that came in.. Backlights work fine.. No display..

Traced the problem to the TCON board.. Blown fuse..

Replaced the fuse.. Blows again.. Replaced the fuse again... This time it fries the marked part on the Main Video board...

Got a new Main Video Board.. Replaced the fuse on the TCON..

The fuse is fine and the backlights come on fine if I don't have the cellophane connectors from the TCON to the...

                        by dimis7
                        Hi all,

Need some advice to troubleshoot this TV.

PSU blow the main fuse F100, 3.15A.

I replace the fuse with another 3A (but not ceramic) and blows it again after few seconds when i plugged in to the wall, with nothing connected to PSU, just the power cord.

I checked with DMM for dead sorts but didn't found any.

Checked bridge rectifier and seems ok.
Also check main filter cap with transistor / cap / esr tester (the usual cheap transistor testers from ebay) and found ok.

                        PSU p/n is EAX64405901 (1.6)...
