    Lg 42lg5010 zd

    Hello Folks,
I hope you can give me an advice on my issue. I have a LG 42LG5010 ZD TV. 3 day ago the TV started to show slight vertical lines along the whole size of the monitor. The vertical stripes are separated by 10 cm and the colour variety changed. If the LCD monitor is turned off for a while (~4h) the LCD works fine for few 30 second after being started.
Please, could you give me an advice which components of the TV could be defect.

    Thanks

    Sorry, misread the post.
First thing you can test with vertical lines, is TCon.
If you are new to this, we can walk you trough. Make a few photos of the set, with the back panel taken off.

The photo you posted is not very clear and not very informative.
Yet, you can try to unplug your TV, get the back cover off.
Then, reseat every cable that goes to the display. If you have isopropyl alcohol, you can clean the contacts with it before reconnecting the cables.

Hi I have cleaned the Connections from the t-con board with a special cleaner but the picture is still bad. As a next step I am going to change the t-con board.

Seeking Advice: Repairing Dell U3425WE Monitor with Faulty USB-C/Thunderbolt Ports
                  by Borse2008
                  Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice or opinions on what to do with a monitor issue I’ve run into. Apologies in advance is this crossovers a few forum categories.

I have a Dell U3425WE, which I've recently replaced with another model. That said, the original unit is still fully functional in terms of the display — it works perfectly over HDMI and DisplayPort. However, the USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 ports have stopped functioning correctly. The Issue:
                  • The 90W Thunderbolt 4 port (circled in the photo) no longer charges or powers any device, including laptops or MacBooks.
                  • There’s

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

                  AOC AG493UCX 49-inch monitor - Firmware request
                  by wattage
                  Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.
