Hi. Can anyone help me with locating where to run a jumper wire to from these damaged pads on this power supply board by looking at these pics. If not its part number is mpf7428 ps in case anyone can find the schematics. The pads are for a transistor(Q701) I was removing to test for a short and my solder sucker was clogged and I stupidly left the iron on it too long and raised the temp a little wondering what was going on. So please if anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated.

Re: Hitachi 42hds69 pad repair or jumper help for ps
Just scrape away a bit of the green paint that covers the copper trace if you need to but you could just run a wire fromthe transistor lead to the solder on that large trace. the other two will likely be ok once you solder the leads to what left of the trace.
Don't use a solder sucker on these, use solder wick.
Are you sure there is a problem with the power supply? My first guess on this model would be upper buffer boardLast edited by R_J; 07-18-2018, 09:22 PM. -

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's the power supply. I'm not getting a standby LED nor standby voltage.Comment

by corrizeHello, I'm a beginner for micro soldering. Right now I have some difficult to solder a qfn 20, I guess I put too much solder on the thermal-ground pad, the result is a corner of chip wich don't touch the board (last try).
I use a wire solder with hot air, I tin the board and chip before with iron and I use good flux.
I will have to solder a LVDS connector (40 pins, laptop pc), I saw a solder paste in seringe, good quality (it does not scatter).
See the test :

by MMH3Hello,
i have many 5050sff. all of them, and how i experienced over many years for all about 250 DELLs goin through my hands, are fully flashable and can be serviced in any way when the service_mode jumper is set.
Never ever i experienced problems with that.
Now i have one 5050sff machine, where this jumper isnt working at all.
I do not get the normal messge that the jumper is set when booting and a short test with FPT just confirms this. Everything is locked -->> EVEN for reading !?
The history of the machine is that i used it in my office... -
by petemanukSo I though in my spare time I’d set myself up repairing motherboards mainly pin damaged lga1151 sockets types.
I’m using an achi ir sc pro rework station (gave up on my Achie ir6500 - don’t recommend)
I’ve managed to get my rework profile somewhere in the correct region (after a lot of trial and error) to get the old sockets off and reflow new ones back on again, the problems I’m getting is not all of the solder balls are re-attaching when re-flow occurs. I know this because when socket is removed pads still look clean and have no solder... -
by myth77Can someone recommend any good UV solder mask? But i need a solder mask that will stand high temperetures. The thing is...sometimes i have a bigger cooper ripped from the board, lets say mosfet pad... i reconstract it with cooper sheet, then i "glue it" with solder mask...then i use UV light...and let it cool a bit. After, i try to clean the cooper of extra solder mask..and till that part all is ok. But, when i use a soldering iron to solder that pad/cooper...the solder mask gets weaker or destroyed and finally the pad is ripped again from the board .
Is there any solder mask... -

The TV was stuck on the logo and I couldn't access the update menu.
I couldn't find the firmware for the Hitachi 32HAE2351 and updated it with the Toshiba 32WA2063DG - Vestel 17MB171 firmware.
The image result was good, but the image is inverted.
The image rotation/mirror function doesn't exist in the Menu Server. I can't correct the image.
