Sammy 60PK750 Plasma No Pic, No Sound, Voltages Good..

Seems to be my day for Sammy Plasmas...

60" Plasma... I don't have my phone, so I can't get pics til Tuesday.....

"Tractor beam??? Won't be installed til Tuesday"
-Captain Harriman, STAR TREK VII, GENERATIONS

Anyways, at plug in the red power LED comes on... Push ON and it fades on and off, then goes blue... After 30 secs or so it fades to off.. Push a button (Volume, Channel, Menu, etc etc) it blinks blue.. All normal..

    No display...

Voltages are good across the board...

    I am leaning towards a bad Z-Sus.....

Just wanted to get a general idea to play with....

Or Mainboard...I have had quite a few that were just main IC BGA reflow problems.
Just bake or reflow the main chip anyway & see if it brings it to life.
Mostly I have found there is a slight glow to the panel in a dark room & that has been Mainboard.

I did a reflow on the Main board...

Now what happens is I power up the TV, red LED power light comes on.. I push the power button, relay clicks, red LED turns blue and then the TV shuts down and the blue LED goes to red...

I have a sinking feeling I fried the Main board.

Yea, I read thru some other threads on the Sammy Plasma, but none really seemed the same as my problem..

And now I have a different problem.

60pk750 is your model number? Take a look at the bottom of the front of the tv. Does it say Sammy or LG?

Yes. It would be a LG TV. But I think you might have a Y-Sus Bd. issue.

Yep, an LG... Color me embarrassed...

I found a couple LG MAIN boards that have the same LVDS connector and the same size Power PCB connector..

I hooked it up and the TV came on! The display blinked on and off but it did come on.. I am hoping that it's just because it's an incompatible Main board, but you might be right Andrew.. The Y-SUS might be bad as well.. There is nothing obvious.. No burns or blows, so I am hoping it's just a Main Board issue. Gonna tear into my parts area to see if I can find one..

Test the suspect Main Bd. on the other working TV, if that is possible to confirm faulty Main Bd.

                            by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Missing LCD Panel Voltages VGH, VGL, VCOM (TCL 55P6US Sound & Backlight but NO Picture)
                            by maneatingmonkey
I have a TCL 55P6US with sound and backlight but no picture. This model does not have a T-CON board, and the right (rear perspective) panel board is fed from the left panel board. I have not been able to induce any change by disconnecting the secondary panel board or the tape cut-off method on the primary board.

There are a bunch of voltages missing on the panel boards. I can't find any shorted caps of the panel boards, and all of the missing voltage rails read in the kiloohms, which leads me to suspect the issue may lie on the circuit board, rather than a short in the panel.

Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.

Powersupply has all the voltages - Monitor still no power
                            by Capacitorial
                            Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
                            On The TCON...

                            Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
