    Hello,
    Reading these posts has helped me to get to this point.
    I have a Sony XBR65810C, its completely dead.
    I can get all the voltage outputs from the Power board.
    So at this point I have 2 leads, there
    I used the Service Manual from ELECTROTANYA site that someone kindly shared.

    I need help interpreting the next steps on this troubleshooting tree.
    I've completed steps highlighted in yellow, (see attached picture).
    but I don't know what "Check OPWRSB R9179" and then the next step is "Check STBY_MHL R9179" these are referring to the same resistor but what does OPWRSB and STBY_MHL mean.
    ALso the following steps
    "Check POWER_ON
    P-on ucom #pin19
    Is the voltage >3.0V?"

        Remember to change the name of the file on the USB after you have downloaded it off Sony's website. Don't use the file name they tell you to use. Instead use upgrade_loader.pkg

            The mystery continues, doesn't look like anyone has fixed this problem yet, wonder if WeadroW tried replacing backlights.
            Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. THEN YOU GET A PENALTY FOR RESPONDING TO HIS ATTACKS. BEEN GOING ON FOR WAY TOO LONG. DONE SUPPORTING A SITE THAT ALLOWS THIS BS.

                Hello,

                I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

                Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...

                Buenas mi nombre es carlos me uni al foro porque estoy buscando el schematic de una sony vaio pcg-41217u otras formas de escribirlo son 1p-0117j01-a012 mbx-237 numero de placa revision 1.2 o Sony VPCSB (MBX-237), en fin me gustaria y ayudaria un monton si alguien me puede dar dichi svhematic para hacer las mediciones de una laptop de la mencionada anteriormente(Sony VAIO PCG-41217U) con el fin de repararla dejo de funcionar solo prende el led de la bateria al pulsar el boton de power el disco empiesa a hacer ruido de actividad pero los leds del frontas no reflejan acividad y no enciende la pantalla....

                Sony XR-65X90J & Sony KD-55X80J Not Powering On

                I have two separate tv's that are having the exact same symptoms. A Sony XR-65X90J and a Sony KD-55X80J. They both are not powering on at all and do not show any led light status. I am having issues with getting the backs off because both sets are the screwless type. Not sure if anybody has any ideas on if it is indeed a power supply issue or these types are known to have other issues.

                Also, any ideas on how to get the sets backs off?

                Sony KDL-46HX850 Can't upgrade/update firmware

                Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

                Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me.
