Re: Lg 47lh30 diode help
It's pretty unusual to see just a diode short, I would look for other shorted components such as the mosfets on the same rail the diode was. Also check the bridge rectifier.
Sorry I have no info on the diodeDid I leave the soldering iron on? -
Re: Lg 47lh30 diode help
That is diode for the PFC Voltage booster, it should be rated at ULTRA FAST 10A with 600V minimum but I would use 800V or higher, it is also ISOTAB (no electrical connection to the metal tab) TO-220AC.
I would check the two power MOSFETs mounted on that heat sink as suggested and also the diode D60? right next to that blown diode.
Did the main AC fuse blow too?Last edited by budm; 03-01-2018, 11:03 PM.Never stop learning

by iyas132Hi there, i am currently diagnosing my corsair rm750 that wont turn on, after a power trip.
Before the power trip, previously i need to push power button on my pc case quite a bit in order to turn the pc (and power supply on), however after the power trip now i cannot turn the pc on at all and i opened the power supply, and found out some of the component(s) are blown. (picture attached)
My current diagnostic is that the (schottky) diode marked "SF" in the 5Vsb circuit are blown and possibly the ES1DF diode too.
Can anyone help me identify the component...1 Photo -
by MrSparkle91Hello everyone,
I have recently gone to clean my laptop and noticed a bad Diode that's gone poof. I have also located it on the schematic also.
Whilst I'm good at repairing stuff in general, I would like some kind insight into what I'm working with here and the Diode I would need.
I have checked the whole laptop and suffer no issues usability wise, which is why I was shocked to find this, but am I right in thinking this is power voltage related?
Thanks in advance.... -

I've opened it up and see the tp4056 chip has blown
There is a zener diode that I tested and get a near short ohms reading no matter which way my leads are

by mikay786I've got a shorted SB390 diode which was in parallel with UF5408 diode.
d1031 = uf5408
d1035 = sb390
service manual pages 1-14-25 & 1-14-26
Ive found a equivalent for the SB390 in the SB3H90
what i wanted to know is it likely that the UF5408 has already been replaced?
As in originally both diodes would have been SB390s
So if i were to replace the pair could i replace both with SB3H90?... -
by nubieDue to some moisture the VGHP/HVS1 line shorted and this diode D8 blew. The picture is there. It just fades in after some minutes and is quite solarized. Updates again take minutes.
Any idea what Dioide to use? Thx.
Many thanks...-
