    Lg 60uf7300-ut

LG 60UF7300-UT 4K TV - does this look savable or is it likely the panel? It is being offered for $200, which seems a bit high either way.

Thanks in advance for any input.

That's an interesting one. it's spread across the whole panel, I'd say tcon at the very least. Panel is prob ok

      Re: Lg 60uf7300-ut

OK, so I decided I needed another project and brought this one home. Things have changed though as currently it has no back lights or video.

I measured the power supply voltages and all appears normal excepting DRV_ON, which I suspect should be high - PDF attached of measurements. Note the SIN, SCLK, and VSYNC attach to the TCON.

Note on the main CCA the DRV_ON command changes name to INV_CTL, and is controlled by a 48 pin MCU R5F100GEAFB#30 - PDF attached.

There is also an LED on the power supply that flashes a sequence of 5 flashes. It connects to a 44 pin micorcontroller MC93F5616 and I could not locate a data sheet on this in an attempt to reverse engineer. I also could not find anything on this in the service manual.

I seem to have a knack for picking an assembly that does not have parts readily available. I suspect with the noted DRV_ON signal that I would need to change the main CCA. The best I have found is $400 for a new, which is way out of range.

So, since I am new to the LCD TV repair I am hoping for some direction on something I might be overlooking.

Bet that it is a BGA solder connection failure underneath the main processor on the main board.

Heat up the main processor on the main board and try to power on

I did try heating it earlier with a heat gun, no where near melting point of solder though just warm / hot to the touch and no change.

I should have also asked about the reset switch on the main CCA. It is labeled SW3000 and resets the MCU where INV_CTL originates. The back lights will flash on momentarily and the set will shut down (PWR_ON goes low)when the switch is depressed.

Any clues about the flashing LED on the power supply?

Hey did you end up figuring out what the issue is? i have the same problem with this tv, 5 flashes on the power board, no image or l.e.ds on or sound.

My suspect is the main board but dont want to spend 200+ dollars on the wrong part. Any help would be appreciated

            Thanks!

With power cord unplugged, unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, plug power cord back in powerboard, see if backlights come on and stay on, report here then with all boards and everything hooked back up, do test #3 in my signature below, #2 shows test procedure if needed, try to follow and report just as instructed.

Hey I tried to unlock the Main board from the power supply. The led.s stay off. If i shine a light i dont see any video as well. There is a little reset switch on the main board, if i press that I see the lights come on for a brief second and tv shuts off. There is also a blinking light that flashes 5 times on the power board.

Darn, I thought I updated this with the fix as the OP. I ended up replacing the main CCA with a purchase from Ebay advertised as 'unknown" for $45 USA. All was well with the TV after that and I was lucky to find a main for such a low price.

Is there any high current pouch battery that are size 60mmX80mm maximum thickness 21mm for a battery operated tab welder
                    by sam_sam_sam
I have a battery operated tab welder and the battery does not have enough current for the battery tab welder because after about 30 welded it does not have the same current output it voltage has gone down by at least 0.500 volts or maybe a more than that

I can fit 21700 battery cells in the enclosure it is very tight fit for four of them that are 35 amp high current capacity 35X4=140 high current output this should work a lot better than what is installed right now

I tested the battery cells there are installed right now and they are testing good with no issues that I...

Extreme High Current & Low Voltage Short Killer ??
                    by DynaxSC
                    Hi Folks

I'm looking for a extreme high current short killer solution for a reasonable cost.

I have an LGA1700 motherboard (ASUS PRIME Z790-P WiFi) where I exchanged the LGA socket already 3 times, and every time after the socket exchange I get a short of power supply lines VCORE (V variable) and VCCIN_AUX (1.8V).
After taking off the socket, the shorts dissappear again.
The soldermask on the socket is already partially demaged from the heat, so I have reconstructed the soldermask by manually painting the missing soldermask parts with a very small top of a...

                    by karatzdi
                    Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...

Philips MDP 3380/12 Blu-ray Player – No Power, Reset Signal Always High
                    by ictc
I'm troubleshooting a Philips MDP 3380/12 Blu-ray player that shows no signs of life. The display remains off, and no buttons respond.

Inside, the power supply is working correctly, and all expected voltages on the mainboard match the service manual specifications. The CPU warms up slightly (checked with a thermal camera), the crystal oscillator is functioning, but the reset signal remains high at all times.

The reset circuit appears to consist of two NPN transistors, one driven by 5V VCC and the other by 3.3V STBY, as shown in the attached schematic. Should the reset...
