    Vizio e701-a3

I this set is got cheap, had a bad leds strip, replaced it, put set together and on the right and left sides of the screen, top to bottom looks like mountain ranges, highs and lows areas where there is no picture. Also 3 guarters of the way up on the right side is a line that goes from right to left 3 quarter across the screen. Can the t- contacts cause this? This set has 2 boards on the right and 2 boards on the left of the panel, and 4 across the bottom of set with jumper ribbon cables

Possibility that you didn't install the white diffuser sheet properly
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Do you know if you had this problem before you worked on it?

if it is still not totally "buttoned up", you can try disconnecting one of the tcon to panel cables and see what the result is on the picture. It should go all white on that side... hopefully.

My guess is you put it back together wrong such that there is pressure on the lcds... much like when you push on an lcd with your finger, it goes dark.... maybe... although that looks black which I do believe is kind of like a "grounding" issue.

The panel should be loose and not under pressure. Did you put panel directly on the diffuser sheets?

Well unhooked t-con to panel ribbon on one side, was all white on that side, could still see edges like described, unhooked both sides from t-con and just backlights, can still see edges and line at top of screen. Anyone need parts for a 70 inch vizio

When you removed and reinstalled the screen did you make sure that you didn't cause any damage to the LCD panel? The look I'm seeing looks like LCD pressure bleed.

This is a symptom of what happens to an LCD panel when it gets hit too hard or pressed to the point where it doesn't crack but it stresses the panel and puts pressure on the dialectic layers. Essentially it's bleeding internally

                              Vizio M60-C3 Left Edge problem
                              by Pinky Deepak
I have a M60-C3 where the left edge has started showing issues as seen in the picture attached. Along with this, I also noticed some darkening on the left half of the screen which went away after I left the TV unplugged. i initially thought it was the led backlight that was wearing out but looks like something to do w the TCONN board. I searched this forum but couldn't find anyone else seeing this issue. most of them were LH/RH completely gone. any insights or guidance is appreciated.

Here's a video of both the issues: https://youtu.be/hMqc760nB3o

                              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                              Assuming...

Vizio M60-C3 left side of screen + a couple other areas dim
                              by frannyjunk
My Vizio M60-C3 was dead. No power, no lights. Just nothing. So I took the back cover off and noticed 4 bulging caps on the power supply board, so I replaced them (green low esr capacitors in the picture). The tv now works! But there are some areas that look dim (see picture). In particular, the left side has a dim band. I know that the led strips run horizontal, yet this band is vertical. Could it be that the led driver board is bad? Could the blown caps have taken out the led driver board? Or is this just a coincidence that every left side led on each strip just went out?...

                              Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...
