    Element ELCHS321 Comes on then buzz and picture flicker

    Element ELCHS321 Comes on then buzzes and the picture (menu and all) starts flickering off/on rapidly.
    As soon as i got the back off i saw the trouble but then decided it was too good not to share this one....
    Classic Bad Caps.

    Clue is on the power supply and the obvious swollen small caps i thought at first... then I saw "IT"... LOL

    Quite a few capacitors in extremely bad conditions. Hope replacement capacitors sort it out.
    Willing to help but I'm no expert.

      Yup the big filter cap in the middle was vented to meltdown....
      Replaced all the caps and VIOLA!!! Back in action!

      not familiar with element brand but this thing is built like a tank..
      Just cheap caps but it is pretty solid otherwise.
      Date stamp is 2008
      went up on the voltages of the caps a wee bit just to keep er cool..
