Need good clear straight on pictures of back of tv with cover off and each board.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Best thing is to check first if you have power on the main filter capacitor.

We need much better pictures from the PSU, so we can identify things.

Anyone here fix a tv and customer cracks panel when they get it home?
              by mecha1166
About 2 times a year, a customer will do this. We fix the tv, put it on test play, and customer sees it working. They see me pull power and video wire. Sometimes I pick up tv, right in front of them, and carry it out to their vehicle while they are next to me. I set it in their tv gently, and tell them the tv is very fragile, be careful with it. I let them close the door/trunk. That day, or a few days later, they tell me there is a crack inside the tv. Normally I tell them transportation is their responsibility and normally that is the end of it. Has anyone had a customer that was not buying this...

              MacBook Pro M1 2020 - 820-2020-A - 20V in one port and 5v in the other
              by TimScrawn
Got a bit of a strange one here. Issue is that the mac powers on and charges just fine in one of the ports. When you plug the cable into the other, it will sit at 5v but still draw 2.3 amps, just like the 20v port.

Board is just like brand new, no liquid damage or anything. Has been swapped into a new housing previously though by another shop. Was given to the customer and they brought it back to them saying it wasn't charging correctly.

Checked board measurements. I have also tried the charger flipped both ways for the CCX pins, but still makes no difference.

How to clean Liquid Metal from under CPU?
              by silver60618
Hi all, Im working on a board, that my customer brought to another shop, and smeared liquid metal all over the board.
The laptop powers on, then shuts off. I noticed traces of Liquid Metal near the edge of the CPU, but I fear some maybe underneath.

Has anyone ever tried Ultrasonic cleaning, or compressed air to remove or agitate the liquid metal?

              Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Gen 2 NM-D011 - No display ? External , yes!
              by Acnologia
Here is a pretty crazy one.

              Step 1.
Laptop was brought to me as dead not working. Removed everything , cleared everything.
              Step 2.

Some liquid damage close to the Type - C connector, and the connector even though it was cleaned wasn't charging the battery . Removed the Type-C port, and replaced it. Now the laptop turns on and charges battery. Shows external screen , not internal.
              Step 3.

Took out the screen and checked it to a secondary Gen 2 i have, screen works like a charm.
              Step 4.

Lets ,dive into the board. I see the edp cable on the...

820-01958-A no power sys led = white when charger is connected.
              by master_haze86
              Hi everyone.

First, let me preface by saying that I do not have much experience with diagnosing damages in motherboards other than visual inspection and checking simple short to ground faults.
But I do learn quickly, and really want to learn how to properly diagnose motherboard faults. If someone could have the patience to go over this board with me, it would be greatly appreciated.

A customer came into my shop with a A2179 MacBook with an 820-01958-A logic board. The reason for bringing the laptop in is that the laptop stopped turning on.

              First thing...
