No I would not consider it a fire hazard, if there is a fault it should blow the fuse. You can see by the discolored circuit board, its been running hot for a while. What I ment about it effecting the picture was shrinking top to bottom or squezing in from the sides etc. that could indicate a problem, minor adjustments that you did will have no real effect on its operating temperature
