    tx-l32x5b Panasonic backlight

hi guys.. any one know where I can get a backlight strip for this model? product code is.. STM320A72... I've pulled the panel apart and one of the leds on the strip is dead.. I'm assuming this is the reason why the backlight cuts off and tv switches off after about ten seconds..any help finding this part would be much appreciated as I can't find it anywhere!

You can do a stacking repair or replace individual LED's

You're not going to be able to stack those LEds dskall. Too close together. It's finding replacements too.

Should you not find strips it's possible to replace bad led with appropriate zener diode

                    Re: tx-l32x5b Panasonic backlight

Replacing the light emitting diode with a zener diode so there is no change in the voltage/current and the tv stays on. I think on a 32" screen though the missing spot would be noticeable.
There are loads of 3v 7020 LEDs on Aliexpress. for example https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100P...82291796.html?
You need to remove the faulty LED without damaging it so we can have a look at the pad/s on the bottom.

What tools do you have jonny ?

if you end up using a zener to patch the strip. move the bottom led to the fault spot and use the zener at the bottom or top of the strip. this will help hide any potential darker spots.

thanks for the responses guys... diif in terms of tools I've just got the basic stuff at the minute ie soldering irons multimetre etc because as I said ive only just really got into repairing TVs.. done lots of vestel and Samsung sets quite a few backlight strip repairs etc using the zener diode to replace the led looks easy enough...how do I go about finding which particular zener I need ? cheers!

Does seem like compatible led's are available which wasn't the case awhile back. That would be the best route to go. You won't have any dark spots. Diif's post #10 should work.

What's the voltage to each LED strip ? just to check they are 3V LEDs required and not 6V
and how many LEDs are there per strip.

Ideally you want to use a hot plate or hot air to remove the LEDs as there is a solder pad underneath them.

I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.

according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...

Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:

                                    1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
                                    2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
                                    3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work

The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.

I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.

But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...

I got the TV from a friend. He claims that no image but sound from the TV.
I confirmed that when shine a flashlight on to the screen, I can see the image. And this should be backlight problem.
I open up the TV and found a few leds failed. And now I am ordering a new set of backlight strips for it.

But there is something that I do not understand when checking the leds. I do not have an led tester. I only use a bench power supply. I first set the voltage to 3V and current to 10mA. I could not light up the led until I increase the voltage to 12V. I understand most...

I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...
