    Panasonic TX-P55ST60 - dead

    hello,

I have this TV that does nothing; no red blinking, no solid red, nothing.
P board is OK, so in this case it's the A board...
I have an A board from a 42ST60, and I was wondering if I should give it a shot. I have done some tests with A board from 55VT30 into a 42GT30, and it produced an image... an incorrect one.
my question is that if is there a chance to damage someting...

If it's the same board number and I presume it would be being both ST60 then I'd try it.

Photos are always nice for us to see what's going on here

        hello there

after a long time I managed to start the TV. It works perfect, the screen is like new, but I have an UK mainboard and no digital tuner on it. I did not receive the 42st60 board, don't know realy why; the boards are identical (st60E and st60B), or I see them identical. now... is there a chance fot the UK board to have the DVB-C integrated and only to activate it? it's not nice to have a second remote from the receiver.

this service manual is better than the one I have, but I cannot find anything about the dvb-c tuner...
as for the options in the service mode... opt 1,2,3,4... I don't know if they are related to what I need and I also don't know what other values to set there.
            Thanks anyway...

No , it has to do with the suffix sticker. Its the white sticker on the mainboard usually starts with TXN/ ....

The board you have is designed for the UK and probably has a FreeSat tuner or something simmilar.
If you want the tuner for the rest of europe then you need to buy a new mainboard and look for the white suffix sticker on the original board.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

The only board I found (from a 55stw60) is somewhere in Bosnia and I'll try to get it. A new board... it's about 300 euros at panasonic Hungary and it comes only as replacement for the original defective board... wich must be in perfect optical condition with no intervention; and this is not my case (the TV was struck by lightning and the original mainboard has the lan filter and some IC exploded)

funny thing: my old 55GT30 has a better image than this 55ST60. the only thing that is a little better on the 60 series it the black level when showing real black objects but still, the details are better on the GT30 on dark scenes! maybe this is possible because the UK mainboard does not have the colour calibration...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                  by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                  by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                  After all of...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                  by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

Yoga3 Pro-1370 Board NM-A321 DEAD no power at all
                  by k370
                  Hi everyone,

I have a NM-A321 board that is dead, with no power at all.

When I received the laptop, the +5VPMIC line was shorted. Removing the PU3 (ISL95905) solved the short, so I ordered and replaced the ISL.

With the new ISL, the short is gone, but still no voltages at all. I measured the following rails:
                  • +3VALW
                  • +5VAUX
                  • 1.2VSUS_PWRGD
                  • 3VALW_PGD
                  • 1.05VAUX_PWRGD

Additionally, the ISL95906 (PU3) is not getting any voltage on the VIN rail.

The only place on the board where I find any voltage is on the first MOSFETs, specifically:...

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
