What do you mean not working? That site is used by many people here.

What model are you working on? This thread is for SHARP LC46E77UN.Last edited by budm; 08-28-2017, 09:02 AM.Leave a comment:

any ways i'll keep an eye on it.
I want to thank you.you helped me a lot to fix that problem.Leave a comment:

Glad to hear, but I would keep close eyes in that section, the resistor went open circuit for reason.Leave a comment:

Bingo!!problem fixed.it was the resistor like i predicted before.replaced it and tv is working like a charm.Leave a comment:

Re: SHARP LC46E77UN just power light on
thanks for the heads up budm
if i put my multi meter leads across the resistor R9630 it reads 250kohm ( weird right!!) i don't see any component in parallel with it that might give me a reading error according to the schematic.I don't know really what happened to a 1 ohm resitor to become a 250 kohm, but my point was that the 5V coming to the Vin pin was almost dropped across that R9630. Now, whether that IC is open or not, will find out tomorrow after i replace this resistor.Last edited by kgavionics; 06-30-2017, 12:27 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: SHARP LC46E77UN just power light on
If it is really 1 M Ohms then I cannot see you can have Over 4V on the basically bad resistors unless the Vin pin has gone open circuit after taking out those two 1 Ohm resistors, it has to be quite high current to blow open 1 Ohm 1/2W resistors.
If Vin pin or the cap was shorted to GND in the beginning, that means you will have 5V/2 Ohms = 2.5A of current flow through the resistors.
2.5A * 5V = 12.5 Watts so each resistor will try to dissipate 6.25W each.
So may be the circuit inside the IC has gone open circuit or high resistance now.Last edited by budm; 06-30-2017, 12:06 AM.Leave a comment:

the resistance between Vin and ground is around 1Mohm.Leave a comment:

Re: SHARP LC46E77UN just power light on
Those two resistors are being used as protection in case IC9604 Vin pin or CE pin, or the filter cap is shorted to GND. 5V to run the IC is fed through those two resistors. I would check the resistance between gnd and Vin pin.Last edited by budm; 06-29-2017, 11:46 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: SHARP LC46E77UN just power light on
i did a little bit of troubleshooting this evening and found something interesting.
see attached image.
there's some thing wrong with the resistor R9630,it's 1ohm resistor and it's taking 4.2v of voltage drop.i measured it's resistance and i found 140kohm.the other resistor is measuring 1ohm as expected.clearly, there's a problem with it.now need to find a resistor and replace it.
to be continued...Last edited by kgavionics; 06-29-2017, 09:45 PM.Leave a comment:

OK, I thought you have already used that ZERO button to ZERO out the test leads.Leave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by Destroyer-Br[HELP] Acer AN515-55 (LA-J871P Rev: 1B) – Board won't power on after GPU investigation – Suspecting Super I/O or PCH
Hi everyone,
I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:- Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B
- Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT
- S/N: NHQ7JAL00403906A973400
- SNID: 03902728734
Initial Issue
The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.
After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled... -
by SoulzinkHi everyone,
I am trying to fix a samsung washinmachine power supply main board.
I already replaced it with another one to fix the machine but i want to try understand the issue with the old board.
Therefore i hope to be able to get some help to explain what to check in order to troubleshoot.
The power supply board reference is the following: DC41-00189a
I have followed one thread (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ingmachine-rel... -
by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change
Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.
Long answer:
TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge.... - Loading...
