    LG 60pk750

ok folks i was able to fix this set by replacing a single ceramic 5watt 10ohm resistor at designator R929 , on power supply. Yes a single lousy resistor stopped this giant tv from running the bad one read around 2.5 m ohms when it is supposed to be 10 ohms. Yep thats it a single resistor. Tv is working fine now the original symptoms was when you turn it on it would shut right back off instantly the disply did prime before shutoff.....

    Thanks for info.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Nice,i already repaired a LG 50PQ30R Y-SUS replacing those resistors,it had no picture, all the voltages but nothing else,in this case 2 resistors were "open",each one in series with SET_UP and SET_DN,and also two failed at Z-SUS,all of them 10 OHMs 2W,i put 10 OHMs 3W back in place, screen lit up just fine.

Need help to identify and to locate a 0.33 ohms fusible resistor for power supply
          by gica69
I have a quad charger that is split into 4 separate sections and one section doesn’t charge anymore. I have located what I think is a thermistor and on the shrink tube it says 125 degrees C. I cut the shrink tube and it's a 33 ohms resistor. It measures a little less than 1/2 inch in length. I am including pictures of it. Please help me identify it. So, it should test at 0.4ohms and probably go up in resistance with the rise in temp. On the board it clearly says R for resistor. But it has to be a special one.
Resistor shows orange range silver gold and green lines.
          Thanks in adv...

Need help changing (single board TV) LED Driver's Current ( FB Resistor )
          by Ancient1
Elco (?) 50" Smart TV. Backlight ( BL) issue.
          Single Board : TP.SK708D.PC821
I bought new BL set . - OK
Power up : Blip . Protection.
Led Tester shows current at 34.2 mA , Previously it was 42.1 mA
Solution : Change current output .
The BL IC is marked on the photo and datasheet is QOB33535 Datasheet(PDF) - Schneider Electric (alldatasheet.com)
Calculating according to the datasheet - see attached photo :
          With ILed = 34.2mA , equation #1 is RFb = 400mV / 34.2 = 11.7 Ohm , and with 42.1 mA we get 9.50 Ohm . i.e I should look for 9.5 Ohm...

Dell 2209WA - power supply - Fusible Resistor replacement
          by jinu_j
          Hi

I am trying to repair an ancient Dell 2209WA Monitor which suddenly shut off with a pop sound. On investigation found that one of the fusible resistors had blown. Further investigation identified multiple components as faulty because of which the fusible resistor blew. Please refer the attached circuit diagram showing the components that were found to be damaged.

          1. FR950 - blown fusible resistor - 0.2 Ohm 1W
          2. Q950 - shorted Q950 MOSFET - 650V 10A N Channel Mosfet
          3. R835 - Blown Resistor - 20KOhm SMD resistor
          4. D930 - Shorted Schottkey Diode...

Need help to replace burned resistor in 350w atx psu
          by mikey5791
          Hi to all forum members,

Got this faulty 350 watt atx psu dirt cheap from a local online seller as i am keen to use it as a learning tool to repair faulty power supply.
The faulty part is quite obvious from the burn area near the 16pin KA7500 BD pwm. The fuse is still intact with good continuity.

Upon power on ac, there is 5vdc standby power on cathode of diode D14 and about 10vdc on cathode of diode D13.(This should be the aux power to generate the 12v and 5v rail.)
Initially i replace the two burned resistors near my marked red arrow to 200 ohm resistor...
