PN51D430-A3D No picture, has sound

I replaced the power supply of this unit and now I am getting good volatage on VA and VS but I have no picture. When I plug in a source I get sound. All voltages appear correct. Not sure how to troubleshoot further.

Have you tried running the test pattern by disconnecting the LVDS cable to the main board and shorting the pins on the logic board.

I would think a short in the buffers would cause a fault and shut off the supply. I'll cover that base anyway. Thanks.

Little black square on the control board with 4 pins sticking out of it. Short pins 3&4 together with a Croc clip/ bit of wire etc

Remove Lvds cable.

Power on the tv

If you get the test patterns, it means the mainboard is bad.I doubt it is.

Got the same set here been meaning to diagnose it, both x and y main test out ok and so do the buffers. No picture still need to look further into it.

What reading In ohms do you have between the 2 points on the buffers marked svt_out

When you guys get them fixed, dont try the firmware update!!!!!
I did it to one I fixed and the mainboard went out. Lucky I had a spare that made it work again. I got the file from Samsung support.

I couldn't find the svt_out. Where is it located??

I think the two pads are marked svt_outh & svt_outl but can't quite make it out.

I've attached photos of our board. I think it's quite different from the one you have or are looking at.

Yessir you are correct and my apologies. I'm supervising this job and my technician was confused. We are working on a PN50B400P3D and he thought this post was for this TV.

I'll start another thread and again sorry for the confusion.
