after cofirming that i do have 160 vdc across the main caps, does this indicate that the main board could possible be bad also?

So you do have 160VDC on the main filter cap to run the standby power supply section.
So then do you get any DCV on any of the pins of the connectors on the cold side of the board?

no stby voltage (5vdc) on any of the pins on the cold side.

pin 1 -12 -16v (no dc voltage here)
pin 2 +12 -16v (no dc voltage here)
pin 5 +5v stby (no dc voltage here)
pin 9 +12vs (no dc voltage here)

hey guys, i cannot for the life of me locate the power IC to check the supply voltage (vcc) pin out. Also, philips had informed me that there is no schematics available for the model tv. i'll keep probing around cautiously. thanks!
