Can anyone tell me if the software/firmware can be changed on a main board.
I've got a JVC LT-40C540 with a faulty main board so the TV is stuck in standby.
I have been unable to source a replacement board specifically for this model so i thought I'd try same board but from another model.
I now have a working TV but the display is upside down and displays Polaroid when switched on.
Board is a MSDV3223-ZC01-01. The two boards look identical but obviously its not that easy.
Any help would be great.

May be able to correct your display through factory menu options and possibly the polaroid but may have to get polaroid remote. If eeprom was not bad you could exchange eeproms

You need to flash another firmware.

Or if you still have the bad main board just change the eeprom.
It might be a 25q64 chip at position U6

Hey Viduka, i hope you are well and that screen is still somewhat problematic for I have an interesting trade for you. I myself have a polaroid t.v of fault, of which requires a working MSDV3223-ZC01-01, like yourself i was unable to get the part, however I did buy the LT-40C540 board (MSDV3255-ZC01-01), and like yours the screen is upside down. Please get back into contact if you're still active.
