    Samsung LE37A556P1F blue tint to the screen?

    Hi guys,

    As the title says, the TV has a blue tint to the screen, really quite bad as well, it's unwatchable. I've just put a new T-Con (well, refurbished with new gamma chip) into it as well. I'm not entirely sure what the fault was before, it was probably 12 months ago when I looked, I just had a record that it needed a T-Con board so ordered it up. Not sure whether the picture was blue before

    Any ideas? Knackered LCD ?

    Thanks.

      Pic of what the screen looks like.

      Apologies for it being upside down and dusty lol. The picture is also very dark.

        Probably a faulty AS15-F chip on the TCON.

        Testing gamma voltages would confirm.

          I've just purchased a refurbished one and he said that had been changed

          How can I test these voltages please Hamie?

            See pics.

            Test points for gamma.

            Post results.

            Eg:

            vgma1 = 15.2
            Vgma2 = 14.7

            Etc
            Etc

              Re: Samsung LE37A556P1F blue tint to the screen?

              The problem with the refurbished board isn't the fact that he's not changed the chip. It's probably down the fact that 2 in 10 (roughly) of brand new AS15 chips tent to be faulty.

              I bought 10 recently and 3 of them were faulty straight out the box.

              So if he's just changed the chip and not had a working tv to test its probably not the sellers fault. However it might be worth going over his solder joints and make sure they are all connected.

                      Here is the gamma checker. You can use. Has your numbers in it.

                        Apologies. I'm really not an excel user. No idea how to even use that haha. I tried inputting my voltages in but nothing happened.. As I say, I've never really used excel before. Is there any other way to test it? Thanks

                          If anyone could lend a hand with that excel document, that would be great

                          Guy on Ebay is telling me he definitely checked it before it was dispatched.. I'm not sure what else it could be now.

                          Thanks

                                  Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
                                  I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

                                  Hi.
                                  I have the Samsung TV Model: UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 which has developed the following issue: blue screen while the sound it's still working. This happened after the screen developed some horizontal lines at first and then the next day suddenly turned into blue background. the screen was not damaged or anything. I can't access the menu. I have taken the tv to a local tech to have a look and he said that he thinks that it might be the pcb board as the back-lights are working and the sound aswell . I was hoping maybe you can guide me if I should buy the pcb board or not? Thanks

                                  Samsung TU8000, backlight and sound on, stuck in blue screen

                                  Hi everyone,

                                  I've got this Samsung here that would be stuck in a boot loop.
                                  After opening up and doing the tape block method, I was able to get it to turn on and play sound from the HDMI input, but with a blue screen.

                                  Does that mean there is another combination of pins that I need to block in order to get a picture, or is there something more serious, faulty mainboard or faulty panel?

                                  Thanks in advance

                                  Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

                                  The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...
