    Philips 32PFL7562D TV

    Hi Folks,

I've got this Philips 32PFL7562D 32" TV screen that behave funnily -- either by design or faulty somehow?

It works well for about 3 months then suddenly stops working for about a month then again start working again well...

The symptom is, when it becomes faulty, it instantly goes to standby (from blue light to orange) when i switch-on and that's it -- i've checked to no avail?

I've attached pictures of the PSU (very big/old and awkward to troubleshoot) -- some repairs where done on the PSU before and seems a bit doggy.

I don't think the caps are the cause, otherwise it won't work well more than an hour if at all. I supposed its act as such when there is an over current or over voltage and locks up as protection but why for so long and no where on the board or panel to reset the PSU if that's the reason?

Any ideas why/how -- i though i share, perhaps someone can hint something i could use to revive the TV when it locks up or becomes faulty again?

    Thanks

Have you tried a firmware update? You can obtain this and instructions from phillips website.

I would also look for loose wires on the connectors-both ends, poor soldering and etc since it appears that someone took a crack at fixing this TV before.

Faulty CRT AKF12/Philips CM8500: bad flyback?
          by tony359
          Hi all,

I have a CRT (Acorn AKF12, based on the 240V version of the Philips CM8500) which has stopped working. It's making a high pitched noise but not too high. I know this is symptom of a faulty flyback.

What happens when a flyback fails? I see that the main voltages out of the PSU are not reaching rated values, as if there is a short.
There are supposed to be 125V/26.5V/15.5V outputs but I am reading something like 48V, 10V and 8V. If I unplug the PSU from the rest of the PCB, I can measure the expected values.

Can it be a short somewhere...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo
          by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

          by jimbofz
          Hi
this tv uses LD7591T ic for pcf boost voltage in psu
          the chip is s/c
          causing dead no led lit
only 330v across main smoothing caps
so no boosted voltage or stable secondary o/p voltages
ive tried all the usual suppliers no one has this chip
i can order from china but dont want to wait until july
can anyone suggest a supplier here in uk

Philips curling iron - is this a common AC cable?
          by double_DD
          Hi all,

Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...

          Philips 47PFS7509/12 LCD TV problem
          by janos6662000
          Hi

I have here a Philips 47PFS7509/12 LCD TV which came to me with a weird problem : without signal i could access menu, make a factory reset, access menus, etc.
When i applied cable signal to check image, i had normal picture, but TV was restarting.
I downloaded original firmware and applied the update, but the problem remained.
From a colleague i received a "factory package software" which is a lot bigger.
I made another firmware update, but still did not solve the problem.
Somewhere on the way the error got worse, because at the moment the...
