What type of LEDs are used on an LG Innotek 39"NDF L Type strip?

I have an Emerson... The exact model number escapes me, but it's a 39 inch purchased back in 2013 and made the same year, LED strips marked as REV:0.0 made on Halloween of 2012. Cursed, I tell ya. It has 3 rows of 2 of these strips, and this is the second time one of the buggers lost an LED. Except this time, two on the same row popped, just on separate strips.

The model number on these (I'm guessing) is UDULEDOGSO17 Rev. C.

I have a feeling that if you bypass too many LED's you're starting to do more harm than good, not to mention a measurable drop in IQ so I'm just gonna get a strip of individual LED's from a hopefully reputable source and replace them outright. Any suggestions would be welcomed. I tried looking around for these light strips but couldn't find any at what I think would be a reasonable price, but those too may end up failing one day. Figured it'd just be more cost effective to buy a strip of individual LEDs and replace them on all 6 bars in one swoop.

I would just buy a new TV and be done with it, but all my money is going elsewhere at the moment and I'm actually quite surprisingly satisfied with the image quality of this display, especially for a $150 purchase. It's just these stupid LEDs keep dropping. That, and I'm not gonna replace my TV until I can afford to go all out on an exorbitant high refresh rate gaming TV or something, since that's all I do on it.

So yeah, any recommendations or resellers would be greatly appreciated.

These look to be the ones. Hopefully they're decent quality and since the seller is in the US, any shenanigans should be (mostly) easily rectified. Appreciate it!

Hmm, no specification, no info on the which pad is Anode and which pad is Cathode.

Fits Samsung and LG + and - are on different pads 2.8mm x 3.5mm pretty sure there for LG. I size fits all and no specs. Ya that's who I would buy from.

Haven't made the purchase yet, but I will tomorrow. Still looking at some.. sellers.

I had read somewhere on these forums back in December when I first had to fix this that if there aren't enough LED's running it can cause issues. Would these issues entail shutting off after about 5-10 minutes of on time? Right now, 3 LEDs are bypassed. I'm assuming it has some kind of current monitoring on the strips and after a while, the current drops to too low of a value for whatever monitors these things and shuts off the display.

Bypassing one LED MAY be OK (I wouldn't), but 3? Bad ideas.
Bypassing 3 LED that means the PWM Controlled will have 12V more Vdrops to keep the same amount regulating current flowing so that means more heat on the MOSFET and the circuit may run out of head room to try to regulate the current so the working LEDs may fail soon too.
Just remember that LED are driven by constant current.

I actually kinda knew that! Thank you BigClive, hahaha. I only ran the TV for maybe 20 minutes tops as after the first time it shut off, I had a feeling something like that was kinda happening and putting undue stress on other components. I only turned it back on to make sure yet another LED didn't die on me after all that nonsense.

This would probably explain why all three are on the same row. One went open, then three months later another goes open right beside the first one, then at some point between now and then another had went dead short.

I'll just order the LEDs and use my old 29' monitor for the time being. I'm in the middle of moving anyway so there's no rush. I can just go ahead and move my TV in that case.

                  Appreciate the help guys!

You need to know the bottom footprint of the LED as well as which pad is the anode/cathode. This LED form factor has both configurations. Alibaba has both configs and is close to the source - plus they are cheaper than eBay.

                      Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

I got the TV from a friend. He claims that no image but sound from the TV.
I confirmed that when shine a flashlight on to the screen, I can see the image. And this should be backlight problem.
I open up the TV and found a few leds failed. And now I am ordering a new set of backlight strips for it.

But there is something that I do not understand when checking the leds. I do not have an led tester. I only use a bench power supply. I first set the voltage to 3V and current to 10mA. I could not light up the led until I increase the voltage to 12V. I understand most...

                      Hi There!
I bought a broken 32" TV today. It has sound but no image. I checked with a flashlight and it was missing backlight
Disassembled down to the led strips and found this TV has been serviced before. Not sure if it was fixed, worked again for some time, and broke again, or maybe last repair wasn't successful

Looks like on previous repair, the center LED strip was replaced with a different model, 7 leds in it instead of 8, but when checking LEDS one by one, leds on the center strip were brighter with same test voltage (multimeter in DIODE mode) so maybe the...

Soooo, I found someone giving away their 70" Vizio TV because it wouldn't turn on. Hoping it would be just some bad caps, I snapped it up. No dice. No bulging caps. TV would start consuming about 7W immediately after plugging it in, but no response from the remote or power button. Thermal showed the main chip on the mobo getting warm and nothing else. Power supply appeared to deliver stable 12V to the mainboard.

I ordered a replacement mobo(actually both mobo and PSU just to be sure) and popped it in. Picture! Sound! Endorphins! Then I noticed three long dark strips. Hmmm, had...

I am writing this because I came looking for the same information but couldn't find anything. There are certain model tvs that will have 2 or more different backlight strip configurations and there is often no way to tell exactly what you have without disassembling the panel. Twice now I have run into this issue and ended up ordering the wrong sets BOTH times. The previous TV I reordered the correct ones and went on my way. The second one I had no patience for returns or reorders, let alone peeling the brand new strips back out and risk damaging them.

The number of LEDs per pair is...
