Re: What type of LEDs are used on an LG Innotek 39"NDF L Type strip?
I actually kinda knew that! Thank you BigClive, hahaha. I only ran the TV for maybe 20 minutes tops as after the first time it shut off, I had a feeling something like that was kinda happening and putting undue stress on other components. I only turned it back on to make sure yet another LED didn't die on me after all that nonsense.
This would probably explain why all three are on the same row. One went open, then three months later another goes open right beside the first one, then at some...

Re: What type of LEDs are used on an LG Innotek 39"NDF L Type strip?
Haven't made the purchase yet, but I will tomorrow. Still looking at some.. sellers.
I had read somewhere on these forums back in December when I first had to fix this that if there aren't enough LED's running it can cause issues. Would these issues entail shutting off after about 5-10 minutes of on time? Right now, 3 LEDs are bypassed. I'm assuming it has some kind of current monitoring on the strips and after a while, the current drops to too low of a value for whatever monitors these things...

Hopefully they're decent quality and since the seller is in the US, any shenanigans should be (mostly) easily rectified. Appreciate it!Re: What type of LEDs are used on an LG Innotek 39"NDF L Type strip?

What type of LEDs are used on an LG Innotek 39"NDF L Type strip?
I have an Emerson... The exact model number escapes me, but it's a 39 inch purchased back in 2013 and made the same year, LED strips marked as REV:0.0 made on Halloween of 2012. Cursed, I tell ya. It has 3 rows of 2 of these strips, and this is the second time one of the buggers lost an LED. Except this time, two on the same row popped, just on separate strips.
The model number on these (I'm guessing) is UDULEDOGSO17 Rev. C.
I have a feeling that if you bypass too many LED's you're starting to do more harm than good, not to mention a measurable drop in...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey guys, just making a quick pass through so I can ask about a question about an LED strip in my Emerson that just went out today. Namely how to tell which one is bad in a strip and if it would kill the whole thing. But hey, this isn't the TV troubleshooting subforum.
