    Backlight Reflector Modification

I am writing this because I came looking for the same information but couldn't find anything. There are certain model tvs that will have 2 or more different backlight strip configurations and there is often no way to tell exactly what you have without disassembling the panel. Twice now I have run into this issue and ended up ordering the wrong sets BOTH times. The previous TV I reordered the correct ones and went on my way. The second one I had no patience for returns or reorders, let alone peeling the brand new strips back out and risk damaging them.

The number of LEDs per pair is the same between both "versions" of strips, however the length of side A in proportion to side B was different, and the spacing between LEDs was different. Thus, the reflector DID NOT line up with the replacements. So, having no other viable options, I decided to cut straight across the punch outs, cut out where the new LEDs needed to be, and then taped it up roughly as to try and not have large gaps or bumps casting shadows. I also used some of the little squares I cut out to cover the middle connectors. The end result looks quite Frankensteined BUT I see no visible signs of refraction, shadows, or spots in the image.

This exact tv was an LG 49UH610A, but reflectors are all the same material and serve the same purpose between all LED TVs. I'm sure some sort of suitable material exists that could be used to make a whole new reflector, or even perhaps glossy white poster board would work, but careful modification of the original does the trick well.

I've added pictures of the modified reflector and the end result (I may add better pictures later).

Note: the number of LEDs per strip may be different between Side A and Side B between different versions, or an entirely different amount per full set. This COULD potentially affect voltage configuration, so be mindful of the exact number of LEDs per strip pair, as well as number per full set.

    As with any shortcut/hack, YMMV.

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
    by Pipolups
    Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Finding the wrong part at a loooong led strip, part works fine, part flickers, all parallel...

    Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

Bosch 12V and 18V chargers modification
    by Petr0x
Hi, I would like to share with you small modification to your Bosch tool 12V and 18V chargers.

You can use it for almost all Bosch chargers what I have seen, for example part numbers GAL 18V-20, GAL 18V-40, GAL 1880, GAL 18V-160, AL 1820, AL1115CV, AL1130CV.

Bosch (today also other brands using the same system like Wurth, Fein) does not care if you destroy your batteries, because they can sell you new ones. So the marketing is telling you only about speed of the charging, so you will not wait for your batteries to charge too long. Me as a customer want the tools and batteries...

Adjustable dc power supply and tcl led strip
    by benareeno
I wonder if i shorted the whole strip...where to put pos and neg to just light up a single diode...or the entire strip. The strip lit for a second...so maybe i fried it? What say you?

I have an adjustable dc power supply and was trying around 9 volts.

I have a pic of a single diode...where to put pos and neg terminals to light it up?

Pic of middle of strip..is this where i light the entire strip?

And pic of end...or does this light the entire strip?

Where to put pos and neg for single diode..multiple diodes and the entire...
